Anyhoo, it is truly a comic materpiece. And it still pisses me off that Val Kilmer likes to pretend he never did that movie, even though it was his FIRST, not Top Gun as he likes to pretend.

I remember when Encore was a part of our regular cable (I think it might've been on extended), Monday was Encore Romance. I caught a comedy romance, a genre I don't care for really but this one was special. Lunatics: A wuv Story, starring Ted Raimi, Bruce Campbell and Deborah Foreman. I loved it cause it was so kooky. There's something beautiful about two mentally insane people falling in wuv.

It's Alive! It's Alive! Mwwwahahahahhahaha!
Anyway, I went to see Ong-Bak and dudes, this was teh fucking kickass movie I was looking for when I went to see Hero and House of teh Flying Daggers! This Movie Rawked! None of that sappy ass wuv story bullshit in this one. Just kick ass, headsplitting action. Noone flying around or bouncing on water or heatseaking daggers; just people jumping respectable heights and doing amazing stunts without wires and shit. It's awesome. I suggest when this comes out on home video, that all of you go out and get a copy because renting it isn't enough. You must own your own copy. Beautiful chase scenes and teh fight scenes are just fucking great. Ok, I've rambled on enough, seriously though, if you like kung-fu at all, go get it.

I read through this entire post since I haven't been here in a while. I've got a couple movies to add to my list!
Donnie Darko. Holy shit what a great movie. It was recommended to me a while back, but I just got around to watching it.
Hero. I'm siding with Hydro on this one. Loved it. I didn't go in expecting a kung-fu movie, I went in expecting a good story. I got all I expected and more.
Crouching Tiger Hidden Dragon. (see above)
Bound. Hydro mentioned it earlier, and I hafta say it's definately one of my favorites. I watched it just for teh Gina Girshon/Jennifer Tilly sex scene, but was pleasently suprised by a great movie.
Willow. I bought this one recently, because I hadn't seen it in about 15 years. I remembered likeing it, and I still do.
