Santa Sangre is just awesome. It's a Spanish film about this boy and his crazy mother who travel with teh circus. teh extras and supporting characters are all real circus performers and freaks.
Oh yeah, if you're just wanting to be totally weirded out for a LONG time, see "Freaks" by Dali.

Do movies from Canada count as foreign? Anyways, one movie that I'm absolutely mad for is "Last Night". It's from 1999 about teh world ending at midnight on New Year's Day. Unlike typical apocalypse films, "Last Night" deals with teh human pysche as teh movie follows a group of people in their last hours. A young widower wants to stay home alone with music and wine, a bride wants to get to her husband to complete a suicide pact, a couple joins thousands as they party in teh streets and one man tries to fulfill all of his sexual fantasies (including one of his grade school teachers, ewww). I really really L-word this movie.
Fun/Useless Fact: I just discovered that teh writer/director/actor Don McKellar (teh widower) is also teh co-writer for "Red Violin".

oooooh neatos! i really liked red violin. one of my favorite movies ever is farewell my concubine. teh movie centers around these two men, well it starts off when they are boys who belong to this acting troupe in 1920's china. they grow up to become opera stars.they are inseparable their entire lives until a woman comes along and one of them falls in wuv with her. if you haven't seen it, see it. it's really a great movie. another of my favorites is europa europa. i really wuv it. it's about this jewish boy who escapes capture by teh nazi's and is taken to a russian orphanage. when teh town is attacked he avoids capture again by telling teh nazi soldiers that he was captured by teh russians and teh russians had killed his family. he gets taken in by them and he becomes one of them.teh whole time hiding teh fact that he is jewish, teh lengths he goes to is just incredible.

It's from 1999 about teh world ending at midnight on New Year's Day. Wouldn't it be "New Year's Eve?" God, I'm a dick.

Recently I have watched a foreign film called "Intacto." Its from Spain and about a guy who steals luck from people by touching them and his waaaacky adventures. It's not a comedy or anything I just like to make things sound comedic. I give it a 5 outta 5. Also, a club goers classic, Human Traffic. This is a british comedy about 5 party goers and their waaaacky adventures ;D These are both excellent movies.

Wouldn't it be "New Year's Eve?" God, I'm a dick. well no, i mean not from teh way stormy phrased it. if it's midnight on new year's day. new year's eve would be midnight, teh night before new year's day, right? erm, i just confused myself.

DJ!!!! I totally thought I was teh only one in teh world who'd ever seen Human Traffic. "Nice one, brutha! I said, NIIIIIICE BRUUUUUV!!!" Freakin' wuv that movie.
As for me, I haven't been watching as many movies as I usually do lately, but teh last good foreign film I saw was Dead or Alive, a Japanese action/drama by that same dude that directed Audition... what's-his-nut... fuckfuckfuck... Takashi Miike!! Anything by that guy will absolutely flip your fucking wig. Not for teh faint of heart, though... I won't even describe anything here to warn you, 'cause even THAT might fuck some people up permanent-like.
Before that, I saw a Spanish film called Y Tu Mama Tambien, and that was pretty good. Two high school boys go on a road trip with this older woman (married or engaged to a relation of one of them), and it's all sex & self-discovery & bonding & funniness... good stuff.
Speaking of Spanish films, has anyone seen Amores Perros or teh Devil's Backbone? I was interested in seeing both, but I can't convince anyone IRL to care enough to watch with me, and I don't wanna watch 'em by myself without a review.
Oh yeah! and Dog Soldiers (UK; werewolves) is freakin' badass. It could beat up your dad.
