Well, I don't really wanna slog randomly through teh whole "Anime Discussion" thread just to talk about one series, so I started this one since I'm really getting into teh series "Full Metal Alchemist" and wanted to talk about it with others. I'll be watching it on [adult swim], so I know I wont be as far ahead as say, Xer or Hina, but I know a lot of others are watching it that way as well...

Poor AL!!!
Thats teh jumping point... DANGED he's another one you DON'T wanna piss off.
But I did think that last nights FMA was gonna be MUCH more intense. I'm glad it wasn't or I would have called off everything today and just sulked in my room all day.

English Al and Winry's crappy acting mainly screwed that up. But I didn't mind it so much as usual just because I was still distracted by how awesome Hughes is (not his English voice, mind you [though it is still better than most in that series], teh character himself).

Hughes is awesome!! It seems he knows just how to deal with everybody! And what he said to Winry before she went to see Ed, was so incredibly sweet, I almost cried. Then again I have been under a lot of stress lately, which might have accounted for my over-emotionalness. But still, I wuv him!

[Kinda' what I would want for "REAL" Husband-material.....]

Actually I think that even in Japan that episode would not have been so intense... at least from my standpoint. Al was moody... Ed was moody... Winry was confused... and Hughes tried to patch everything up while ranting on about his daughter. Not really THAT much to get emotional over... except that Al is currently thinking he's a non-entity and that he never exhisted.

Honestly. But I still thought he was just being overly childish and not thinking things through at all.

Me thinks you need to go read my last LJ entry for an explination on THAT... because all things considered... Al's reaction wasn't that unexpected for someone in his position.

It never even has any bearing on teh story, or on an understanding of any characters or anything.

Actually it does more than you think... and again for how I come to THAT conclusion... you'd hafta go read my LJ... or IM me so I can explain it to you... or try to... I AM on AIM right now... and last time I checked I didn't bite.

Ack! *covering my eyes to avoid reading this thread*
Well, I sat down to get caught up on my FMA (I was a few weeks behind.. I have it set to record every week on my mom's TiVo thing...) and I discovered that one got recorded wrong because of daylight savings time!! Grr. So.. would anyone mind giving me a really quick rundown of teh ep from April 2nd? Not yesterday's... not teh week before... but teh week before that. I think teh last one I saw was "Soul of teh Guardian'. I wanna know what happened, so I can watch teh next one.. (teh jammie one! I can't wait for teh jammies...)

Episode 21: Japanese subtitled name "Crimson Glow" (dunno what teh dub one is) teh Barry teh Chopper armor guy tells Al he is probably not real and his memories were jsut created by Ed (pretty much to break his spirit). And then he goes after Scar, who just shwoed up, and gets his arm blown off, then retreats into teh compound. Another bad guy type, Greed, is released from a sealed room by teh explosion Barry used to cover his escape. He calls out a bunch of chimeras to aid him in escaping and going after teh higher-ups who did that to them. teh Slicer (other armor guy) head part agrees to take Ed teh rest of teh way in, but teh body part commits suicide (by destroying its own blood seal). Basque Gran apparently gathers a bunch of prisoners, including Kimbley, teh Crimson Alchemist, and taking them to teh lab (but it's really Envy, cause, you know, Gran was killed by Scar several episodes ago). Ed, with teh armor helmet, came upon a huge somewhat humanoid chimera, who happened to be Shou Tucker. A flashback reveals that Scar's older brother had illegally experimented with alchemy and went as far as trying to revive his dead girlfriend, who he says looked just like Lust. Then Scar and Al ran into Lust and Gluttony. Tucker reveals to Ed that he's been trying to create a chimera that looks like Nina basically. Then he reveals a room to Ed that contains massive quantities of teh liquid-esque red stone Marco had, and he kinda talks Ed into attempting to refine it all into a real Philosopher Stone. teh End.
