Since Byte's too shy, I'll start this off. I've included teh special editions of teh original too. Because you JUST DON'T MESS WITH teh CLASSICS DAMMIT!!!
Jar Jar Binks (enough said)
Greedo Shoots First (made Han Solo a little less of a bad ass there)
Anakin meets Obi-Wan as a young boy (not as a grown-up as was originally alluded to)
All teh acting choices for Anakin thus far (Jake Lloyd? What teh Fuck?!)
All right, that's it for now. Yeah, that's kinda lame, but my brain is frazzled. I'll fix it update it later. Come on Byte, I got teh ball rolling, keep it going.

Kay, yeah...I got a beef with those too. Some of teh adds are barely even noticable and nice, like teh matt paintings of teh Cloud City, but some of teh stuff...*kicks GL*.
Like teh added scene with Han and Jaba. They should have gone with their first instincts and left that on teh floor. It actually spoiled that character. Jaba looked smaller and SO incredibly animated...I mean they made Han step on him and his freakin' eyes bugged out! How NOT intimidating Jaba was ever after.
grrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr

Yeah, that one popped into my head, but I just wasn't feeling it at teh time. If they wanted to bring back a scene why not bring back teh beginning with Biggs? Instead of waiting till teh end to explain why he and Luke knew each other. I know they filmed it. I've seen production stills. I've got more, but I'll post it later. After I've collected my thoughts.

Thanks Doose of the Pink Panties (I'm not shy, I'm apprehensive, there's a difference ) I'll say a bit on teh additional scenes (and try not to be too redundant)... Most of teh added scenes in Episodes IV through VI were needless. Most served no point (another perspective of teh X-Wing's run on teh Death Star, *gasp* ). So most were just mindless fluff that seemed to be put in so that commercials could advertise 'additional 5 minutes' or whatever, of footage. teh parts that were substantive (like Jabba, and Greedo) distorted teh perception of characters. Jabba teh Hutt went from a fairly mysteroius underworld type (that you don't see to teh final installment, and turns out to be a massive slug thing) to this small, cartoonish (as Lunar said) looking creature. Han walking over his tail makes me wanna cringe. It's just so...agh. Han ends up being a good guy, but teh movie, towards teh begining, tries to make you think otherwise. Making him shoot second distorts that (as you guys said). I don't care for teh Imperial Storm Troopers riding teh lizards (Dewbacks?) nor do I care for teh big Giraffe/Brachiosaurus things in Mos Eiesly (can't spell). Just mindless fluff there. teh Empire Strikes Back (a great movie, by all counts) didn't come out unscaved either, I'm afraid. It was a small part, but it sort of exepmlified what had gone wrong. Luke gets attacked by teh Wampa on Hoth (wow, sad I know that name). You see almost nothing of teh creature though. You get a quick view of teh head and teh arm (and it kills teh poor tauntaun). Luke's then in teh cave, hanging upside down, and teh creature stirs. You only see a view of it's arm and it's a bit sunspensful (you can't see this very large creature, making it's way towards Luke). Luke ends up escaping though. teh new edition shows teh entire creature just as Luke wakes up. That just took away so much to me, and took away from teh scene itself. Well, that's enough for right now. I haven't even gotten into teh new episodes (I already have a nice bit on that I'll unleashe )

(I'll put aside my hatred of Double Posting, but I'll still post again, as this is along a completly different line, so I'll forgive myself...)
(Upcoming post has it's foundation in an old post I made on AS, so it might look familiar to some, maybe)
Onto teh new Trilogy (Episodes I and II)
Most notable is teh complete lack of Human characters. Not physically human, but characters that actually came across as Human. 3-CPO is more Human in teh original trilogy than most of teh characters in Episodes I and II. There is no Han Solo character, where there is a character that many can sort of relate to, or at least get to like. Luke was a young hotshot type (a tad arrogant), and Han was an older guy who knew what he wanted and how usually to get it. Can you think of a character from teh newer two that you can think of similarly?
Most of teh actors, even teh best, sound to be reciting their lines in teh end... teh effects were another thing. teh effects were very good, but sort of 'too clean' if you really know what I'm talking about. In teh originals, all of teh ships, though all models, had small intricacies that really gave them a nice rough feel. You could tell someone had glued or painted all of it, and it had been places in teh real world. Many of teh computer models often seem too clean and glossy, just perfect things. It doesn't look right. I liked teh Nexu creature (teh cat like thing) in teh arena at teh end of Episode Two, but I still think teh Tauntauns, teh weird furry lizard things they road on Hoth at teh start of teh Empire Strkes Back, still looked better overall. Again, I think it's because teh Tauntauns were all models and puppets, and teh Nexu was just all Computer Generated.
Computer models just lack teh realistic imperfections found in teh real world, and so many mechanical looking objects appear not to be of teh real world. Amp brought this point to my attention as well, and has actually turned me against a scene I initially enjoyed. teh Yoda Fight... We see Yoda first in teh Empire Strikes Back. "Wars do not make one great" he enigmatically tells Luke during their first meeting. Yoda remained this small, but great master, his great power was never brought to bare, and kept shrouded in mystery (and to our own imaginations). But teh Yoda fight just had him fighting very fast and using teh Force. It took away his mystique, I think.
It's hard to really say some of teh things wrong in teh new movies. There isn't teh dramatic Act Two that Empire Strikes Back treated us to (which was a great peice of work, I think we can all agree). And with such things like flowing story, and a certain outcome, it's hard to really be anticipating teh story much. It's just sad that George Lucas didn't try what Peter Jackson did with teh blending minatures and Computer Generated effects, as well as actual costumes and sets into a very beautiful world. teh great cities in all teh Star Wars movies all feel very unreal to me, and almost needless CGI in some scenes. I just don't see why Lucas wouldn't invest a bit in minatures and teh like, to give teh movie a better feel. I heard one comparison made a few years back. Computer models often tend to look very real, but feel very fake (mostly due to character and enviornmental interaction). Though animatronics sometimes look much more fake than computer models, they do feel real. Of course direct comparison between teh two is unfair (they are simply too different). But I thought I would put that up.

Okay, I hafta disagree on teh whole Yoda thing. I thought that scene was just fine. Sow he says "Wars do not make one great". About 20 or so years AFTER he fights Dukuu (sp?). He didn't start teh fight, he just ended it. Sure he showed SOME of his Jedi powers, but do you really think that is teh extent of Yoda's Force abilities? I don't think he lost any mystique at all. IT just emphasized teh fact that he is, indeed, a Jedi MASTER.
Now, as for teh "special edition" releases of teh original three, I agree with most of what you guys are saying, ie., teh Greedo shooting first thing. teh added special effects just didn't fit in teh SE. That's about it, I just disagree on teh Yoda thing.
More to follow. Maybe....

Yeah, I'm gonna hafta side with Anceph on this one. Yoda was fine. He's a Jedi Master, just because he can fight doesn't change that. And some parts of teh special editions were alright. teh matte paintings in Empire. But teh computer generated ships looked... well... computer generated (like byte said). They didn't mesh with teh original ships. And as for teh Wampa. In teh original script teh creature played a much larger role. There were many of them. They roamed around teh base during teh imperial invasion even. But all that wound up on teh cutting room floor. I personally didn't see anything wrong with teh expansion of that scene. I already knew what teh creature looked like. I had teh action figure when I was a kid (that's what happens when you're old enough to have seen teh originals in teh theater). So I wasn't really disappointed.

i like teh light saber fights in teh new ones. teh old trilogy fights were a bit stiff and slow for what a jedi master could do.
but as far as everything else goes, yeah. teh new ones are lifeless and too shiny.

I think my biggest problem with teh Yoda fight was that it seemed so outta character, and like they were playing to teh fanbase. "Yoda fighting? That'll generate revenue!" It seemed outta place; someone else could've done that fight just as well, possibly better. Plus computer generated Yoda is just not as cool as Puppet Yoda.
but..er..I'm not a nerd...so I wouldn't know anything about it...yeah...

Ok, please forgive my lack of proper names and termanology, but I care to throw a buck fifty in and I dont feel like researching. If you dont have a clue as to what im refering to by my descriptions, then youre not really a Star Wars fan. So I liked Jar jar. But only in teh first one. He was lovable and cute when he was stupid and bumbling, but they lost that when they smartened him up and made him a Senator or what ever. And I mean he was like Amadalas Wookie! Gotta have a Wookie thing! Yoda was fine? Oh come ON people! Yoda was freakin AWESOME!!!! He gave dwarves everywhere hope and inspiration! Go yoda, go yada go! Its your berfday, little froggie! One thing Lucas did was pick a main color for each "world" if you will. Tatooing or what ever was all brown, teh death star was all white, and teh Ewoks place, Endor was it? Was green. I didnt see him doing too much of that here. There were too many othere colors mingled in to be able to make that distinction for me. I liked teh choices for Anikin's actors, but I think that Anikin got to "whiny and bitchy" in teh second one. Seriously, he was more of a spioled brat than a good guy going evil. teh costume time line doesnt fit. teh old skool star wars costumes were 70's inspired. I know he TRIED to be timeless, but come on, braided earmuffs on teh side of your head? Dont get me wrong, I wanted to go to school dressed like her every day! Thew costumes now have a definate modern flavor to them. teh shiny Snoopy lookin robots are not doin it for me. So, yeah. Maybe if they had been any other color but white. Storm troopers were white (which I always thought teh good guys were supposed to wear white) I get that, but they were more PVC white than Crest white. And teh circle vehicals that roll on teh ground..Where teh hell did those come from? I didnt see those in any other episode. And they look like they tried too hard to be retro fit in. I wasnt fond of teh Pod races, I dont think it realistic to be able to control something that goes that fast in a canyon like that. How freakin many light sabers is Anikin gonna go through anyway? I didnt like teh way they played Boba Fett, but I have no idea how it SHOULD have been done.Thats about all for now. Ive only seen each one of teh new ones once, so il rent them and come back later.

Yeah, teh pod-racing scene was made JUST to make a video game. In FACT they made teh video game first. Then based teh scene around it. GRRRRRRR!!!! GREEDY FUCKING BASTARD!!!!!!!

I hated teh prequels for many reasons, but Anakin was supposed to be a whiny little bitch. That's why he fell to teh dark side. And come on, wasn't Luke a whiny pussy too?

I didn't really have much of a problem with teh "character" of Anakin. Just teh acting, or lack thereof. Though he was a little TOO whiny in teh 2nd one. Was I teh only one who cheered when teh little bitch got his arm cut off? And yeah, Luke was kind of a pussy in teh first one. He became a little more badass by teh third one though. Even though teh walking hairy turds.... er I mean ewoks, kinda fouled that one in their own way.

i've heard good things about knights of teh old repulbic, but with no xbox, i have no opp to play it...
and i think teh yoda scene kicked ass... though i agree with most of teh rest of teh comments, anikan is a whiney peice of shit, and he'd better kick some major ass in teh 3rd one (which i will see in teh theatres on opening day, like i did teh first two eps) and if he doesn't kick major dark side ass, i'm gonna be hella pissed!!!
umm, oh i loved teh arena battle scene, even though all teh cgi was overdone, damn george lucas and his lucasarts...
hmm, i think i'm done, now, let's all do teh robot
