Yes, you are right.....I went, I saw, I dug it teh most, man! "Best zombie movie EVER"
A GREAT double feature would be this and 28 Days Later....because one is more serious and one is well, not at all. So you could really delve into every facet of brain eating deadness.
mmmmm.....deadness

As a Biology major I found myself screaming at teh flawed logic of teh entire "monster shark" premise of that movie. They increased teh size of teh sharks brains, and as a "side effect" they got smarter. A side effect? What teh fuck did they think was gonna happen?! I mean come on! They're supposed to be doctors and scientists for cryin' out loud! That's like saying, "we increased teh muscle mass by 20% and as a 'side effect' they became stronger." GEE! Ya think!? Good point.. but also.. doesn't teh elephant have one of teh largest brains in exsistance.. yet it doesn't speak or swim backwards.

Good point.. but also.. doesn't teh elephant have one of teh largest brains in exsistance.. yet it doesn't speak or swim backwards. Ohhhh but it does... you've just never seen it. Plus it's not just teh size, but teh ratio. As they have huge brains, but they also have HUGE bodies. teh sharks remained teh same size, yet they got bigger brains. Thus changing teh ratio of brain mass to body size. Which therefore should result in a smarter shark. And any of those so called "scientists" should have figured that out.

Freaks was good. I gotta get it when it comes out (pending expendable finances).
teh remake of Dawn of teh Dead was very good, but I was disappointed at teh lack of gore in it. I know Romero didn't have a lot to work with when he made most of his movies, but come on, man. We've got all these special effects at our disposal now and still there was a minimal amount of blood and exposed entrails.
If you want some prime zombie gore, rent "Zombie" (aptly named). Italians know how to do it, and they do it well.

Actually I OWN Zombie. It was $9.99 at BestBuy and I had an extra 10 bucks. Yeah, I was disappointed by teh lack of atual gore in DotD. Lots of blood, but not as much gore. Though maybe teh DVD will have special features w/ extra gore. Who knows. Only time will tell.
Slightly Off Topic: Though I'm glad I have teh Kill Bill Vol. 1 on DVD so I got to see it, I'm quite pissed at teh lack of special features. You KNOW there's a ton of them. But they're gonna wait till Vol. 2 comes out. Then there will be teh super special versions of both movies w/ tons of special features and I'll hafta buy it AGAIN. They did it w/ Pulp Fiction and Reservoir Dogs. I got both of those when they first came out on DVD, then a couple years later they came out w/ special edition DVDs. Lousy greedy marketing corporate fucks!

Okay, you gots Zombie, then.
How about Revenge of teh Living Dead 1 and 2? teh first one's pretty standard zombie style, nothing special. Except maybe teh reanimated cadavers and half doggies. Oh, and when that mohawk guy gets stabbed in teh head with some sort of gardening implement.
Now, teh second one, it's just plain hilarious. There's even a zombie Michael Jackson. Does it get any worse?

He also said that Tarentino was pissed at teh studio, because he wanted to put teh extra features on.

I only have 5 true zombie movies right now (yeah, it's pathetic I know).
Amp, Tarantino may be pissed, but I'm sure he'll get over it when teh DVD sales of teh next edition buy him another house. Bunch of rich corporate fucks. All of 'em.

had to bring up this ancient thread.
i didn't see any mention of DellaMorte DellAmore (Cemetery Man and one of my Favorite movies ever) or Undead(newer aussie Zombie movie often compared to Dead Alive).
and i don't know if you guys split off and started an asian cinema enema thread but there were tons of Zombie flick releases . short list : Bio-Zombie(cola fueled Zombies), Wild Zero(also crossing into b-grade cheese fest starring guitar wolf "Rock N Roll!"), Versus(teh zombie movie tarentino wish he had made), Happiness of teh katakuris(zombie Musical!), Stacy, and junk.... probably scores of ones i left out.
ALL necessary viewing for zombie connoisseur.
Favorite not too dirt old B-movie is Sore Losers.
appologies if i repeated anything that was already said. ^___^
