I can 'cause I'll probably be watching it before then in Anime club. Maybe I should be really mean and tell Barry about this and force him to cancel watching it because its coming on AS like HE's forced teh club to do before with WHR and FMA when THEY were about to be shown in club but got picked up by AS. That teh series will air on [as] this summer was announced January 20th on [as].com and on January 22nd on AnimeNewsNetwork (citing [as].com as their source, heh). And I still find it amazing that you even HAVE an anime club. What with all teh army of Narutards here (regular anime fans notwithstanding) and teh immense supply of geeks we have here (teh school specializes in them), you'd think if anyone would have one it would be us.

Well, my anime club is full of idiots who THINK they are up to date with anime, but in fact AREN'T. I mean I KNOW I'm behind on anime and anime news, but at least I'll admit it. And what we watch is basicly whatever teh pres. and teh other "lesser gods" of teh club wanna watch. They told me that we couldn't watch Saiyuki because it was "Too old"... and when I proved them wrong they simply left it at... "Its stupid." So I am letting one of teh "lesser gods" who is open minded borrow it in hopes that he may change our President's mind.

teh opening credits of Samurai Champloo (which is coming to [as] this summer). teh quote is from teh same series. I just put teh pics there to go with teh quote, after all. teh first line is Jin and teh second is Mugen, and same order with teh pics. They are teh main characters, them and this girl named Fuu. And teh two of them can't stand each other. Oh, and every time I think about their names I can't help but have my mind wander to Shishio's sword, teh Mugen-Jin, [dance, monkey, dance!!!]. I thought that's what they looked like...

[I'm reposting this here from teh other thread]
Well, we got everyone bundled in teh car and headed home. We had to take two cars since there wasn't room for Amon, me, Willow, Gren and Cara. So Cara rode with Gren. I had to make her promise not to hurt him, which she did.
As soon as we got home, I went to sit on teh sofa so I could just sit and hold my daughter. I nearly got tears in my eyes every time I looked at her 'cause I L-word her so much. Amon went and helped Gren put things away. teh living room was decorated with an "It's A Girl" sign and ballons. I did happen to notice there were a few baby gifts piled in teh nursery.
Suddenly, a poof was heard and Arion appeared in teh living room. Cara had her aigel at teh ready and was about to charge. Arion was in his battle stance. I had to shout to stop teh both of them from commiting bloodshed in my home. Unfortunately, while doing so, it woke Willow, who let everyone know of her displeasure.
"Amon, honey. Could you take Willow for a moment while I have some words with our visitor?"
"Yes, of course." I gingerly handed Willow over to her father and he went into teh bedroom to try and coax her to sleep again. He shut teh door behind him. I turned to Cara and Arion.
"Now listen here, both of you. Now that there's a baby in teh house, a few rules are gonna hafta be observed." I turned to Arion. "You. No popping in unnannounced. I thought we had covered this after teh wedding. And you," I said, turning towards Cara. "I appreciate your vigilance, but none of this 'strike first, ask questions later' crap. Understood?"
She nodded, glaring daggers in Arion's direction. Arion, regained his composure and tried to look disinterested. I sat back down. "Now Arion, what do you need?"
He bowed deeply, "My most profound apologies, Milady. But I was informed of teh Royal Birth and wanted to bestow my blessings upon teh new princess."
I nodded, "That's fine. However, Amon is trying to get her to go back to sleep, so if you hafta do it in person, it'll hafta wait."
He raised a hand. "There is no need to disturb teh Royal Highness and her father, Milady. I shall present my gift to you to give to her later." He reached into his robes and pulled out a glowing spherical object. As he brought it closer, there appeared to be a pattern on teh surface. A pattern of a stylized dragon. I gazed at it.
"What is it?"
Arion smiled, "It is teh light of our most sacred star, Dragon's Fire. It's captured at a specific time during teh celestial cycles. This light shall guide and watch over teh princess for her entire lifetime." He handed it to me. It changed color as soon as it came into contact with me. In Arion's hands, it glowed yellowish, in mine, it was a soft violet. I gasped in amazement.
"What a wonderful gift, Arion. It's beautiful."
"teh color change only occurs when in teh presence of those of Dragon blood. teh color is unique to each individual. Princess Willow's shall glow a specific color, just for her."
"Thank you, Arion. I'm sure she'll treasure it always."
He bowed slightly. "I also wish to discuss teh particulars of teh naming ceremony for teh princess. Generally, it takes place two weeks after birth, in order for bonding to occur and teh child to get acclimated to it's new environment. Besides, it takes that long to prepare everything needed."
"Yes, I understand. I'll leave that with you. I just wanna spend time with my husband and our daughter."
"Yes, I understand. I shall get teh preparations started immediately. Take care, Milady." he said, then disappeared.
Cara spoke. "Who was that?"
"That was Arion. He's teh head of my army I guess you could say. He's also acting High Priest for my Clan."
"A general, then. I could tell. But as a General, he should know better than to appear unnanounced to his soverign."
"We're still working on that."
Whew! That took longer than I thought! Sorry about teh length. It just kept coming!

That made me really happy, and it turns out we're having like a little con on campus next weekend. (Yeah, I' m not on campus much, so I never know what's going on!). But I went to a meeting last week, and it was pretty small, but good. We watched some Bleach, which was great, and this really silly show called Jubei-chan. It's kind of good for me, I think, because I tend to get into big ruts in teh kind of anime I watch. (Plus being restricted by money/access/sucky internet.) Jubei-chan is teh kind of show I would never think to watch, but it turned out to be hilarious...I really liked it. There were only a couple of people there this time, so I have yet to really find out what teh people are like. But I'm really excited about having a chance to meet more people who are into anime. Now I just hafta figure out how to get outta working next saturday night....

As of last friday Emi-chan's brain has turneded to mush and she don't feel like writing ANYTHING! (Snap and anyone who reads my LJ knows why.) So she's reduced to a lowly Spectator for teh time being...
Though that don't stop her from adding her two cents... ;D

[Suddenly realizes that COULD refer to teh people of ATACT, too......OOPS!] Never mind...........*a-heh* You've pretty much summed up some of why I'm manning a mutany against teh "lesser gods" of teh anime club. Actually so far teh guy I loaned Saiyuki to LIKES it. Right now we're watching DearS which is essentially Chobits with aliens in stead of Robots, at least thats my take on it so far. And next we are watching a "Trigun" wanna be where Vash is a GIRL. Though I forget teh name of it.

Vash as a GIRL!? *Laughs herself silly at teh thought of Vash and Butter Knife KNIVES in dresses!!!!!! [Legato would be a HOOT, too!]* Well so far we've been introduced to a Vash and Meryl parallel... and teh genders are switched there. Meryl is a samurai-like guy... and Vash is a girl who does this spinny thing and bullets fly outta her boobs so she can reload her gun... THUS teh reason we are watching it.
