Last year my roommate was a girl from Thailand. She made teh BEST Thai dishes! One time she made a soup called Chicken Tom Ka.
I have teh recipe, but there's a paste packet that goes with it. Although, I'm not really certain how crucial teh paste is to teh taste. You'd get teh basic taste just with teh recipe. So I'll post it anyways....
1) boil 1cup coconut cream. Add 1kg (you figure it out!) chicken and teh paste packet**. Cook until chicken is tender.
2) add 2 cups water. Simmer until chicken is tender (yes...teh recipe says to make it tender twice...badly translated ^_^)
3) add one more cup coconut cream. bring to boil and ready to serve. Add fish sauce and lime juice to taste.
Veggies can be add to taste. My roommate put mushrooms and lettuce in it.
**here's teh indgredients of teh paste: salt, galangal, lemongrass, soybean oil, sugar, spices, monosodium glutamate, and citric acid.
Pretty basic without those colorings or preservatives.
teh soup might sound weird at first, but believe me, it's awesome! teh coconut and lime flavor with chicken is amazing!

Ooh... I get to share my "super secret" Terryakki Chicken recipe with you... and its very easy too.
Everything keeping a 2:1 ratio of Soy sauce and sugar (One cup soy sauce to half cup Sugar) pour over boneless chicken breasts and let it cook.
You may need to adjust teh amount of "sauce" to cover all teh chicken.
See... thats easy isn't it?
