YOU are NO help at ALL! *snort!* I'm so full of excitedment over a couple of things right now that that kind of help isn't really gonna come fro me. Those two things being: seeing so much Hughes this past FMA episode and him being so awesome, and I'm getting better at teh ingredient ratios of my cheese dip (I added some more horseradish this time, it's pretty good).

teh morning after teh Party, after I had gotten myself together enough to think clearly again [BOY, does that aphrodesiac stuff have a KICK, noda!], I happened to notice that Homura appeared to have a "bracelet" of dandelions around one wrist..........
"Where'd ya' get that?" I asked, already having a hunch about it--
"Oh, this?" Homura held up his wrist to gaze at it a moment, "A small girl-child named Rin made it for me last night, and........Well, I find I rather LIKE it, really....."
"Ahhhh......Rin! That's about what I FIGURED, actually--"
"Yes--she said someone called Cheza taught her how to make this sort of "jewelry" in such a way that teh flowers live as long as one waters them occasionally, tho' I've noticed that as long as I'm wearing it, they seem fresh and alive, anyway......" Homura explained, smiling a bit.
"Must be teh god in you," I replied, and he looked up, a bit surprised!
"You really THINK so, Stampers?" He seemed rather pleased at that thought, as if just now appreciating that side of himself in a way he hadn't THOUGHT of before......
"Yep! Keep wearing it, Homura--it looks GOOD on you, and it SURE BEATS-ta' HELL those shackles it's "replaced"!"
I left him studying his new gift thoughtfully, and remembered what he had told me about that cloak and teh prayer beads he always wears:
"They are ALL I have left of my Parents, Stampers--teh only possessions that I "OWN", really.........My Mother was allowed to care for me--tho' her time with me was severely limited to teh "bare minimum" of what was necessary to let me continue living--until I was weaned, then she was sent away, I was never told to where, tho' I suspect they may have done to HER what was done to Rinrei--forced to reincarnate as a Human unaware of her Past......or me......
My Father I never knew--supposedly he died in an "accident" after he and my Mother were forcibly separated, tho' I rather doubt teh validity of teh said "accident", considering teh circumstances........"
He had *sighed*, then, before continuing, mourning teh loss of teh two people, other than Rinrei, who had loved him selflessly before--
"Before my Mother was taken away, she was able to give me these two gifts that I STILL treasure--teh cloak was one of her finest, given to her by my Father on their "Wedding Day", and teh beads belonged to my Father, they only thing she had LEFT of him......besides me........"
"You mean your Human Father was a Buddhist PRIEST, Homura!?" I had exclaimed, now even MORE appalled at teh fate of these three people who's greatest "sin" was to be a Family!
"Yes, and a very loved and respected one, from what my Mother told me.......Ironic, is it not?"
"MORE like a horrible TRAVESTY, if ya' ask ME!" I had muttered angrily, wondering if BUDDHA knew about this crime committed in his name........
Now, as I thought about lil' Rin's habit of "adopting" lonely and wounded men--of ALL "varieties"--teh idea came to me...........
"Homura's in teh hands of a REAL "expert", now--Bless that Rin! And he has ANOTHER to add to those who wuv him, JUST as he is.............."
To be Continued--
NOTE: teh stuff about Homura's Parents is NOT a **Spoiler**, 'cuz I made it up...

For a minute there, you sounded just LIKE Hughes, "obsessing" about his Daughter!? *snork* ;D Looking back at that post objectively (since you said that), I think I sounded a lot more like Andrew Bartfield (aka teh Desert Tiger) from Gundam Seed (and Seed Destiny as well and all) than Hughes. But then I also thought, last I checked, you hadn't watched that series, so naturally you wouldn't have seen such a thing as that.

Yeah... cheese dip is serious business. Horseradish is a good idea... mmm... now I'm hungry. I wanted to make it spicy (considering teh salsa I used only comes in Medium and Mild anyway, which makes no rational sense if there is nothing above Medium, plus teh fact that teh mounds of cheese watered that down even more), and horseradish was teh best I found that could add spiciness without corrupting teh great cheese flavor (teh main ingredient), since it's not spicy just for teh sake of being spicy like teh standard Mexican salsa ingredients are, it's flavorful spicy.

NOTE: teh stuff about Homura's Parents is NOT a **Spoiler**, 'cuz I made it up... I like your explanation of his parents a lot! I think that makes perfect sense. He'd hafta be a fairly spiritual person to make contact with teh gods... oooo... now I'm imagining all kinds of scenarios for them! *sigh* Just like a greek tragedy, that it iis...

Hence why I wuv it. You can make it as hot as you want without ruining your meal. Whereas chili peppers, if you add too much, teh burn just wipes out teh flavor of everything else. Horseradish is hot at first, but then fades away almost immediately. Mmm. I wuv spicy stuff. And that is weird that there's no hot. How can there be a medium with no hot? *sigh*... Sorry sorry, talking about cheese dip instead of writing teh rest of teh Goku/Dougan story...

He'd hafta be a fairly spiritual person to make contact with teh gods... oooo... now I'm imagining all kinds of scenarios for them! *sigh* Just like a greek tragedy, that it iis... Well, I felt they left WAY TOO MUCH about Homura, Shein n' Zenon unexplained in teh anime [perhaps teh manga says more?], and it was pretty obvious that teh cloak was important to Homura for some reason--and then I gotta' thinkin' about WHY a supposed "heretic" would be wearing what appears to be Buddhist Prayer Beads [AIN'T it AMAZING what ya' learn about Buddhism in anime!?], and it all kinda' "clicked".........[teh sword was a "no-brainer"--he only had that as part of his "duties" as teh War Prince] Now if I could only figure out Shein's lack of sleeves.......

[I'm STILL "waiting" to hear who Schu was looking for in Hell, remember........] Wonder of wonders, you may actually get to find out... I thought that it would be sort of a pipe-dream kind of thing, but I might actually be able to do part of that story, at least, when I'm done with all teh Dougan-angst. That is, as long as Xer still feels like helping me.... (And he better! ) (ooo... did I manage to look menacing?) I really need to get off teh computer. Grr. My eye is killing me!
