Lorne and I were wandering teh grounds, enjoying teh celebrations, when we saw Count D and Tomo coming towards us. "Hi guys! What you been up to lately?" In responce, Count D raised up his hand to show off his ring. "Sqeeeeeeeee!" I run over to Count D and gave him a HUGE hug, "I'm so happy for you!" I cried with tears in my eyes. Then I let him go and hugged Tomo, giving him a smooch on teh cheek for good measure. "And you, I know you'll make Count D very happy! Heck, you already have!" Lorne shook hands with teh happy couple and we went on our way. Tomo watched them go, his hand to his cheek where P-kitty had kissed him, a look caught somewhere between anger and wonder on his rather flushed face...... "I'm not sure I will EVER QUITE get used to teh people here, Count....." he remarked in a bemused tone of voice, "Even teh ones I live with...." He glanced at CD as if suddenly realizing just how that might sound, a slightly worried frown on his face--"I mean, it's not ANYTHING LIKE back...."home"......." But his new Spouse was smiling serenely at him, his odd-colored eyes suspiciously shining...... "No, Tomo-Dear, it isn't--and it's not Hell, either......." They put their arms around each other's shoulders in a comforting half-hug, and thanked whatever god or Good Fortune had brought them together [and let Tomo outta Hell for a second chance.....]

This is Traditional, and this next one is "Antique"-- Daniel [looking over my shoulder with an "indulgent" smile]: "Well, that DOES look nicer than "Knives Millions", THAT'S for sure!"

teh Chinese New Year festivities were going along just fine..... Most of teh activity was around teh Tea Pavilion--which was where most of teh food was located--tho' fireworks could be heard going off throughout teh Japanese Gardens as people moved about, wandering from one place to another. Although it was more of a Japanese custom than Chinese, there was also a small "carnival" with booths and such, and teh "Catch Your Own Goldfish" booth was VERY popular with teh kids getting outta School [which explains why my house NOW has a tank with several goggle-eyed fish swimming about in it to ADD to all teh "pets" we already own!] There was even a Dragon Dance going on, tho' NOT quite teh "traditional" one, since it was being danced by REAL dragons, noda! [In fact, Arion and his wife were now leading something of a "parade" thru' teh Gardens, with even Haku participating] Everyone was having a good time, and LOTS of red envelopes with new money were being given to loved ones, along with other traditional goodies, like tangerines and dragon and goldfish kites..........and in a quiet "pocket" of teh Gardens, amidst all teh happy noise, two people who had moved from mutual attraction to a very deep and abiding wuv for one another were exchanging rings in a private little "ceremony" of their own-- "There.." said Count D, slipping a gold band on Tomo's finger, "Now it's "Official"! We'll ALWAYS be together, from now on, My wuv...." Tomo, more moved than he wanted to let on [Oh, if he had ONLY known teh Count in his earlier life, things MIGHT have been so DIFFERENT!], swallowed hard as he put a ring on CD's finger in return--"Are you really SURE about this, Count...? I mean....I wuv you more than Life itself, but....do you REALLY think me.....worthy of someone like you...?" CD held his Lover's--now Spouse's--face steady with a hand to his chin, and looked deeply into Tomo's worried eyes with his own mis-matched ones--"Tomo, my Dear, how many times must I repeat? I have lived a VERY long time, but have only ONCE found someone I TRULY cared to spend teh REST of my Life with--and THAT person is YOU!" Tomo couldn't QUITE stop teh tears that now ran down his face--he had NEVER been so LOVED, EVER, and it was a WONDERFUL feeling.....noda...! "I DO return your wuv, My Count-- ALWAYS!" he exclaimed, smiling [and Count D loved how his too-often-somber face lit up when his Tomo REALLY smiled!] "I know you do, Tomo-Dear...." And they shared a very good kiss [for you "FAKE" fans, one like what Ryo and Dee get up to!], sealing their life-long agreement. Congratulations, Count D and Tomo! To be Continued-- As soon as teh two of them had caught their breath again , Count D said thoughtfully--
"You knowwwww, Tomo--we REALLY should have some sort of "Blessing" pronounced for us, just because......"
"But.....didn't you say this was ALREADY a fortuitous time to make this commitment, My Count, what with teh New Year here, as WELL as teh Year of teh Cock being your Birth Year...!?" Tomo exclaimed a bit worriedly.
"Yes, I DID say that, My Dear Tomo--at least as well as I can remember........." [Muttered under his breath--] "--it WAS such a long time ago, sometimes I'm not entirely sure myself!"
Continuing in a louder voice, CD went on, "But I see no harm in getting a Blessing, anyway, and we have PLENTY of people QUITE "qualified" to do that, you know--and a little "extra insurance" NEVER hurts, as My Mother used to say...!"
Tomo nodded his head in agreement to that [his own former Life could have USED such wise advice......], but teh next thing he heard made him shudder in ALARM!
"Perhaps we could ask Seiryuu to Bless us, Tomo! It's LONG past time he did SOMETHING to repay you for all that you did for HIM, after all--Don't you think!?"
"Oh, COUNT! PLEASE don't SAY such things, even in JEST!" moaned teh Former Seichi, STILL worried that his god might YET find reason to "punish" him for his dared Happiness....!
Count D's face mirrored teh mix of sorrow, disgust and loving patience he felt then as he watched Tomo glance around nervously, as if he half-expected teh Blue God to suddenly *pop* outta a bush with vengeance in his eyes--"I WISH I could CONVINCE him that there is NOTHING he need Fear from Seiryuu AGAIN.....!", he thought to himself, sadly, "teh Blue One MAY be a god in teh World of teh Book, but HERE he's just a MINOR deity, and Tomo is NO longer his Seichi--Seiryuu STILL has MUCH to answer for, in my OWN personal "Book"!"
But, he gathered Tomo close, instead, and apologized to reassure him--"I'm Sorry, Dear--I SHOULDN'T worry you like that, even IF teh Dragon God can do me no harm--We'll think of someone else, all right?"
He could see and feel Tomo relax against him with these comforting words, and for a moment teh two of them sat on a nearby bench in silence, just holding each other......
Then, Count D suddenly straightened as teh PERFECT person came to mind!
"I KNOW who can do a GOOD Blessing for us, My Dearest Tomo!"
And with that, he stood up and led his Spouse away thru' teh Gardens---!
To be Continued.......

NOTE: I moved this here because it kinda' goes along with THIS Story..........
There was a mild "ruckus" going on in teh Shrine of teh Four Gods at Emi-chan's house--
"NO!" Seiryuu yelled, resisting Suzaku's persistant tug on one of his horns [*OUCH!, DAMMIT!--that HURTS! You DAMN Turkey!!!*], "I DON'T want to go, no matter WHAT you say, you HEAR me, "BABY" Brother!!??"
Suzaku, who was SORELY tempted to YANK a lil' HARDER for that "turkey" remark, resisted teh urge nonetheless, and continued to try Reason on his stubborn TWIT of a Brother God--"You KNOW you OWE her that much, Seiryuu, and it's NOT like I'm asking that you do MORE than just be Polite and Civil for a short visit!! Besides, teh Lady Snapdragon IS more or less YOUR "responsibility", you know!"
"I DON'T care if she IS!" snapped teh irate Blue God, "I want NOTHING to do with that WENCH! She had teh GALL to refuse my Generous Offer--"
"Just because she had teh class to NOT want to be a mere "Prize" for your OVERBEARING Pride, nor serve as a TOOL for your schemes of Self-Grandisization OR just as teh "recipient" for teh satisfaction of YOUR overactive LOINS, My Dear Brother, Does NOT mean you can just ignore her! Or are you saying that you REALLY can't face teh little Lady who stood up to you with ANY Dignity, let ALONE that of a True God!!!??"
Well, THAT statement not only STUNG, it hit HOME, apparently, because Seiryuu [who really didn't wanna admit that not only was Suzaku CORRECT, but that it was Snap's very RESISTANCE that kept him fascinated with her, in SPITE of himself!], suddenly STOPPED resisting--removing Suzaku's grip on his horn with an impatient tug--and snarled reluctantly--
"Oh ALL RIGHT! I'll go with you to pay a SHORT visit to Queen Snapdragon, and I'll even TRY to be--*Snort!*--civil--but I absolutely REFUSE to make polite social "chit-chat" with that HUSBAND of her's, you understand!!!"
Suzaku smiled at his victory--he KNEW that Amon would still be at work right now, so they would have Milady Snapdragon's eager attention ALL to themselves!
"That's ALL I ask, DEAR Brother....!" he exclaimed as they "disappeared" from teh Shrine, on their way to Snap's bedroom......
........If only Emi-chan had thought to warn them about Cara--or Cara about THEM!
To be Continued---

Actually, I did try my screen name (or rather Xer) first, but apparently it's not in their database, heh. But anyway, you apparently have some strange and rather off ways of drawing clonclusions, that you do. Hey, it wouldn't be teh first time...
