Hey, Everyone--Here's an Idea..... Since we're already sorta' having a Celebration for Chinese New Year, and Valentine's Day is just next Tuesday and we kinda' have an Anniversary to note, WHY don't we make this Party kinda' cover ALL of that, okay? In other words, it'll stretch from now to teh day after Valentines' [which I understand is a BIG holiday in Japan!], and it can be a sort of "laid-back" kinda' thing, too, people "participating" as they wanna--and if you had plans for a Valentine's Day Story, just go ahead! I have THREE ideas "cooking" for this event, aside from my "regular" stories, and will contact some of you as necessary...... ----So, Let's have some FUN! Sounds interesting, Stampers. I might have something in teh works for Valentine's Day, though...

I kinda like teh first one better. huh... wouldn't that be teh other way around? teh second way is teh way they teach us, and it's what you see on signs, in advertisements, etc... that's what I'd call traditional. but yeah, it does look kinda cool teh first way. I've never seen katakana written like that. (btw, snapdragon, it says "Rekkusu", which is meant to sound like teh English "Rex"... reckon you can draw your own conclusions from that)

Like how Naoki was so incredibly uncreative with teh names he made back then. By teh way, Naoki is teh Japanese form of his own name (though his family can't for teh life of them seem to remember which language his real name comes from), and Miguel is teh Spanish form of his own name (for no other reason than he was in a Spanish class at teh time).

teh Chinese New Year festivities were going along just fine..... Most of teh activity was around teh Tea Pavilion--which was where most of teh food was located--tho' fireworks could be heard going off throughout teh Japanese Gardens as people moved about, wandering from one place to another. Although it was more of a Japanese custom than Chinese, there was also a small "carnival" with booths and such, and teh "Catch Your Own Goldfish" booth was VERY popular with teh kids getting outta School [which explains why my house NOW has a tank with several goggle-eyed fish swimming about in it to ADD to all teh "pets" we already own!] There was even a Dragon Dance going on, tho' NOT quite teh "traditional" one, since it was being danced by REAL dragons, noda! [In fact, Arion and his wife were now leading something of a "parade" thru' teh Gardens, with even Haku participating] Everyone was having a good time, and LOTS of red envelopes with new money were being given to loved ones, along with other traditional goodies, like tangerines and dragon and goldfish kites..........and in a quiet "pocket" of teh Gardens, amidst all teh happy noise, two people who had moved from mutual attraction to a very deep and abiding wuv for one another were exchanging rings in a private little "ceremony" of their own-- "There.." said Count D, slipping a gold band on Tomo's finger, "Now it's "Official"! We'll ALWAYS be together, from now on, My wuv...." Tomo, more moved than he wanted to let on [Oh, if he had ONLY known teh Count in his earlier life, things MIGHT have been so DIFFERENT!], swallowed hard as he put a ring on CD's finger in return--"Are you really SURE about this, Count...? I mean....I wuv you more than Life itself, but....do you REALLY think me.....worthy of someone like you...?" CD held his Lover's--now Spouse's--face steady with a hand to his chin, and looked deeply into Tomo's worried eyes with his own mis-matched ones--"Tomo, my Dear, how many times must I repeat? I have lived a VERY long time, but have only ONCE found someone I TRULY cared to spend teh REST of my Life with--and THAT person is YOU!" Tomo couldn't QUITE stop teh tears that now ran down his face--he had NEVER been so LOVED, EVER, and it was a WONDERFUL feeling.....noda...! "I DO return your wuv, My Count-- ALWAYS!" he exclaimed, smiling [and Count D loved how his too-often-somber face lit up when his Tomo REALLY smiled!] "I know you do, Tomo-Dear...." And they shared a very good kiss [for you "FAKE" fans, one like what Ryo and Dee get up to!], sealing their life-long agreement. Congratulations, Count D and Tomo! To be Continued-- CONGRATULATIONS! *sniff*

So he wimped out and used his screen name, eh... Actually, I did try my screen name (or rather Xer) first, but apparently it's not in their database, heh. But anyway, you apparently have some strange and rather off ways of drawing clonclusions, that you do.

Yeah, I tried variations of "Stampers" without success, also--guess I'll hafta' do it teh "hard" way, letter-by-letter.

Lorne and I were wandering teh grounds, enjoying teh celebrations, when we saw Count D and Tomo coming towards us. "Hi guys! What you been up to lately?"
In responce, Count D raised up his hand to show off his ring.
"Sqeeeeeeeee!" I run over to Count D and gave him a HUGE hug, "I'm so happy for you!" I cried with tears in my eyes. Then I let him go and hugged Tomo, giving him a smooch on teh cheek for good measure. "And you, I know you'll make Count D very happy! Heck, you already have!"
Lorne shook hands with teh happy couple and we went on our way.
