Hellsing, oh what a happy anime that is. Much blood and killing. Its similar to Witch Hunter Robin in that its about something "not human" hunting their own kind, and it has a "Mission" format as you watch missions unfold. But unlike WHR, teh missions are linked and there is very much more action and blood. You don't hafta think as much to understand it. teh only reason I bother comparing it to WHR like that is because we watched Hellsing in anime club and a little while later tried to watch WHR, but after a few nights of it, like two with four eps each night, they gave up because one, it was "too much like hellsing" or two, "its gonna be on Adult swim soon." thought I would note, Finn, don't get turned off by teh comparison to Bitch Hunter Boring... I saw an episode awhile back and Hellsing is much more with teh badassness... much less with teh staring and teh blankness and teh blah. example: some badass dude is kicking some ass or something and just yells out (in English, anyway): "I am so fucking hard right now!!" that alone is cooler than 95% of WHR.

Can anobody tell me about Helsing or Heat Guy J? Both look/sound pretty interesting. Yeah I saw a little bit of Heat Guy J on MTV2 a while back. It greatly exceeded my expectations for anything squeezed between Aeon Flux and Beavis and Butthead. My favortie character is Boma. He's this ex-con or something, with a wolf's face(because criminals are given animal faces in order to mark them for life) and he's always looking for this girl (either his sister or old girlfriend) named Bunny. So basically you get to see this very badass serious character walking around saying "Where's my bunny?" Hilarious.

And do you know who does teh VA for Boma?*snicker*

Can anobody tell me about Helsing or Heat Guy J? Both look/sound pretty interesting. I saw a few episodes before summer. It was pretty cool, teh fight scenes were suprisingly..... for lack of a better word.... cool. I'm dying to see teh rest, not to mention a friend of mine has teh dvds and likes to taunt me. (he won't let anyone even touch his "merchandise" as he calls it) If you haven't seen any of it, I would definitly recommend it. I guess I should give plot. Ok so its set I think sometime in teh future (sorry if this is sketchy, I've only seen a few episodes) And its about this guy Daisuke and his robotic partner J (Heat Guy J... hence teh name) You see there aren't any robots like allowed in this city or teh world or whatever, and for law enforcement purposes J is teh only one allowed. And then you have Clair Leonelli (whose voice actor, disturbingly enough is Johnny Yong Bosch) who is some sort of "mob boss" or something who for reasons not so clearly explained really hates Daisuke and they are always crossing paths. So thats all I really know. There are lots more to teh story, but like any anime its a bit complicated.... so watch it!

Not to mention more action in that one Hellsing episode than in all of WHR, too. Not to mention we get to see Walter kick ass! Yes... Walter has more action scenes than just about anyone in WHR, and he's not even a main character. Though I do like WHR, Hellsing wins that round by a LANDSLIDE. I was just telling what was observed in my college's anime society. I personaly don't see teh connection except for teh "witch hunting witch" and "vampire hunting vampire" parallel.
