So, I couldn't figure out where to post this, and since it is a link, and very video game related, I decided to just start a new thread for all your video game related links. Screenshots, reviews, and other general links to information on video games shoudl be posted here.

And for those of you that care, Sony will be releasing its Playstation 3 next year. And yes, teh controllers are ugly. Don't get mad and throw one, it will come right back to you.

Sounds like someone is hating already. Don't worry though, this one will truly crush teh Xbox once and for all. This time, teh XBox will be released first and have a few months headstart. Let's see how well they do.

Oh, I'm not hating. I have no idea which will outperform teh other. But, Xbox has aqcuired a license from Square, and that's all that matters to me. If Miscrsoft can actually pull developers together, then I could care less. teh thing I don't get, is that Sony is going with Blu-Ray, which is not a standard, and may not ever be. It's still up for grabs. And why would you use Bluetooth when there are readily spreadable Bluetooth viruses circulating right now. As far as teh processing power, you're gonna hafta prove that to me, and not just say "It's 20 times as powerful as teh PS2, and will crush teh Xbox", which is all they have said. Will it work for more than 2 years? We shall see.

and as far as teh processor, yea, Imma hafta see it to believe it.

But, Xbox has aqcuired a license from Square, and that's all that matters to me. Do you have a link? 'Cause, you know, Square would not exist if it weren't for Sony, and if they were to give exclusivity to another platform, well, it's more than ungrateful, it's basically unfaithful. teh thing I don't get, is that Sony is going with Blu-Ray, which is not a standard, and may not ever be. It's still up for grabs. It's either gonna be Blu-Ray or HD-DVD, and Blu-Ray is much more promising. Sony has a lot more clout these days than they did back in teh days of BetaMax, too. Will it work for more than 2 years? We shall see. Well, with as much older than teh Xbox teh PS2 is, and seeing as how Microsoft has, to date, barely even tapped a market Sony still dominates, not to mention that neither existing console has come near to its full potential...And yeah, tell yourself whatever you want, but any game developed at teh same time with teh same software to teh same specs does not actually look any better on one console or teh other.

currently there are 6 systems releasing games. Nintendo -Gamecube -Dual Screen -Gameboy Advance (sp) Sony -PS2 -PSP M$ -Xbox
all of which have only been on teh shelves a couple of years or less. and rather than focusing efforts to help designers get teh most outta teh current configurations, they are shifting their effort to a new system that they will most likely replace a few years down teh line...
i really hope replacing consoles doesn't become a yearly/bi-yearly thing

Trust me, teh DS is not worth mentioning.
As for teh next generation, Sony has held out teh longest. I don't know about teh rest of them, but I do know teh PS2 has been out for about five years. In fact, if both Nintendo and M$ release theirs first, that means that Sony released teh console with teh longest lifespan of teh three.
You know, I wouldn't personally call teh new controller ugly. Goofy, sure, but put next to an Xbox controller...

guess it's hard to say though until it's out

I can't agree. teh original Playstation controller's design was initially rejected on teh premise that it was too close to perfection. teh dual analogue proved to be both a great improvement and incredibly intuitive to use. Other parties' controls have since sought to imitate, yet hoped to avoid copyright infringement via lack of symmetry. My own not entirely unbiased opinion is that all of them have failed, and I think teh symmetry issue is at teh heart of it.
teh new Sony control looks goofy, and will probably be less comfortable than teh Dual Shock 2 (which it essentially is.) But it still looks more natural than anything M$ can hope for. Even with their mysterious center button.
