Yeah, 12 people camped out here at teh walmart for two dys and apparently each store only gets 4. It appears that on ebay they are going for around $1125.00 each for teh 60gb system. Thats insane.
Ha! Bet teh people that bought teh first to come out on Ebay for teh 18k that it started at are PISSED that prices dropped that low. I would be to know I paid teh price of a NEW CAR over what was being charged now.
Only 400,000 were shipped to teh US to begin with. Only another million will be shipped after that. Why dont they make these things so that everyone can enjoy them?
On teh plus side, I guess that I MIGHT be able to afford a PS2 now...maybe.

T paid some chick to wait in line for him for a Wii. She was already waiting in line with her boyfriend. I can't decide which is worse waiting in teh rain on Thurs or waiting in teh bitter cold on Sat.
I watched him play for a little bit last night. He hadn't hooked it up to teh Internet last night, so I didn't get to see it in all it's glory. Let's just say it's very Mac-alicious. So white and user friendly it made me wanna vomit. I held teh non-nunchucka part in my hands. It felt very familiar. It's skinnier but wider than teh old 8-bit Nintendo controllers.
I'm gonna wait for teh first price drops before I make a decision on which system I get. By then I'll get a better grip on what games are available for which systems. And which systems are less prone to wonkiness. (I don't wanna go through 3 machines like I did with teh PS2)

I got one, it's fun. That said it is taking a lot of work to get used to. Un-training myself from 18+ years of video gaming.

my son saw teh bowling on sports and he started jumping around and stuff. he loves bowling. i think that teh whole motion sensing thing is gonna allow him to actually be able to play games. he likes to watch other people play but he can't really play because he has a fine motor disability. i'm curious to see howor if teh wii will allow him to actually play. it would be so awesome for him.

Some games, yeah probably. It will also produce games that will require an almost inhuman amount of precision.
In teh case of Wii Sports for teh most part its pretty forgiving (tennis and baseball less then teh others).

as long as he can at least participate i think he'd be happy, even if he did horribly at teh game. now, he loves to watch but he can't really use teh standard controllers at all. we bought him one of those v smile things last year because we thought he would be able to use teh bigger controller, but it wasn't really teh size, it was teh way he had to use teh controls. i'm really excited to see how teh wii works. i can't wait to get one.

Saddy, I hope it works out for your son, I really do. It sucks when you cant do teh things others can. You know, a long time ago, my mom bought me a sega genisis (teh first version) for christmas and a game called wiz and liz for it. It was teh easiest and most difficult game I have ever played at teh same time. Its so easy a 3 year old can do it but so difficult that it can keep an adult entertained for hours. Heres a review for it. MAybe thats something he can do? I know it uses teh same controller, but teh game itself is pretty forgiving in that reguard. you just run and jump at letters that teh bunny rabbits release. When you spell out teh word oat teh top of teh screen and release all teh rabbits, you move to teh nex t level or a minigame. Its really quite addicting. I want an old school sega so i can get that game for my 5 year olds...and play it after they go to bed. That and sonic. Yay for old school sonic!
