Yeah, I have teh box as well, I would say for single play my favorites are Knights of teh Old Republic, and XIII. For multiplay, definitely Halo and Cel Damage.
Althoguh lately, teh only game I have been playing is Star Wars: Galaxies. That game (PC) kicks majors ass.

I've heard virtually nothing about KotOR... never even heard of XIII, mind elaborating on both? KotOR is a Star Wars RPG wherein you play as a jedi, and can choose to either play as a male or female, and can choose to be etiher teh Dark or Light side. there are different endings for each of teh possible scenarios. It is real time, but teh combat is turn based. You can have it auto pause during combat, or you can pause it maunally to issue commands, or you can just let it flow without stopping, however you want. It is tons of fun. XIII is a conspiracy theory FPS. Just teh voice cast should make you buy it. David Duchovney (XIII), Adam West (Colonel something or other), and Eve play teh major chracter sin teh game. It is cel shaded, and really fun to play, a bit of a challenge in places. teh onlyproblem I had with it is that it was relatively short. I beat it in a few days. but it does have multiplayer,a nd it is Live! enabled.

sorry to rain on teh XBOX parade, but my current console of choice is teh PS2. right now, i'm heavy into Rainbow Six 3 and Fight Nights, which is just THEE absolute best boxing game ever created ta date. teh game is just so fluent and teh blood and lingering scars and bruises are just awesome. teh replays when you get knocked down/out are just plain embarrassing, it's that simple. a very beautiful game indeed.

Well, I might not OWN one, but I'm a big fan of teh nintendo gamecube.
Soul Calibur 2, Mario Kart Double Dash, Smash Brothers Melee, all good fun games to play with friends. Since it's not actually my system, I've never really played teh single-player games/rpgs, but I've really heard good things about Zelda: Windwaker, plus Squaresoft is supposed to be heading back to making only nintendo games, so that'll be a big bonus for teh gamecube.

I have teh gamecube. Super Smash Brothers is fun as hell to play with friends, as is Mario Kart: DD!!. Mario golf is another fun one to play with friends. I played Windwaker, but I don't own it. I rented it and beat it in a week. It was indeed fun, so long as you like teh Zelda franchise, which I do. But teh best game I own on Gamecube would hafta be Metroid Prime. That game kicks ass!! As far as teh SquareEnix thing, I had heard that they were just gonna start makig games for Nintendo again, but not exclusively. But again, that is only what I heard, and not based in fact. I wouldn't think they would throw away their deals with Sony, as that is a definite cash cow. I personally like teh variety of games on teh PS2, but teh fact of teh matter is: everyone I knwo who has had one, now has a broken one that only plays 1/8th of teh disks my friends own. That and teh graphics are not up to par, teh load times are super slow, and teh volume is always really low when watching a dvd. You hafta pay extra for teh hard drive and ethernet card, and sony bullies companies into exclusivity rights. I could go on and on, but this forum is for teh games, not teh systems, so I'll shut up now.

PS2 has a lot of cool games, but I agree with anceph; teh graphics don't cut it compared to Xbox anymore. My biggest problem with Xbox is teh huge, awkward-ass controllers... I know they make smaller ones, but they're still awkward. Gamecube, eh, too kiddish for me. Gimme blood.
For PS2 my current favorite is XIII (dummy, Finn, teh one I've been trying to get you to play!!), and Tekken-anything's always classic. teh NFL Blitz games are fun as hell too. (Do they make those for Xbox...?) I haven't played much Xbox, but I do like Morrowind, Ninja Gaiden looked badass (if it had actually WORKED, *growls at Blockbuster*), and Soul Caliber II is pure awesome. I wanna check out Jedi Academy too... anyone played it? Is it anywhere near as cool as KotOR?

Sorry, no info on teh Jedi stuff, but I do hafta agree with you on teh whole XBOX controllers suck and true, teh graphics for teh PS2 isn't as good as teh XBOX but teh XBOX don't make use of their graphical power correctly, nor have they produced enough games of substance to make me forget about teh PS2. teh PS2 is just more confortable and fluent than teh XBOX. oh yeah, Ninja Gaiden is extremely badassed! (would be better if teh controller was shaped like PS2)
teh GameCube is a party system. sorry, but it was built mainly for partying, kiddies and chics who like that cutesy gaming stuff. Though, MarioKart and Bash/Party are fucking awesome

I actually prefer teh Xbox big controller. It fits my hands better. teh PS controller is too small, and I hafta contort my hands to use it. Granted it IS better than what we previously had. As for graphics, it is a little known fact that teh Gamecube actually has teh best graphics card outta teh three major consoles. teh only problem with it is that teh disc is much smaller, so they can't put out a really good game with fantastic graphics, unless they put it out on multiple discs. Why does Nintendo always hafta be difficult? I do agree that nintendo was basically built as a party system, but that's why I like it. It's easy to take to parties, all 4 controllers, memory card and game with teh system easily fit in my backpack with my overnight gear (cuz i always stay where I'm drinking).

Even teh placement of teh analogs. I fucking hate how one is in teh middle (where it belongs) and teh other one is off in Calcutta somefuckingwhere. Now, if XBOX was smart, they would make Halo2 online capable. That would awesome, because currently, XBOX Live (online) sucks salty hairy donkey nuts. PS2 online gaming is keelin'em now.

Well, being that it is all a matter of personal preference, I actually prefer teh right analog ofset from teh left, maybe it just takes some getting used to, or whatever, but I like it. Halo2 is in fact gonna be a live! compatible game, so that wil thouroughly rock. teh only advantage PS2's online service has is that it is free. You still can't even store you saved games on teh damned harddrive that comes with teh kit. It is solely for storing donloaded material. How stupid is that!?! Another reason teh XBox is better. Can you splice in a USB connection, throw a hub on that, hook in a keyboard and mouse, load Linux, run a GPS system, MP3 player, and load your on teh fly turbo adjustment software, then hook it all up to a touch screen 7' LCD interface? I don't think you would be able to hang that with teh PS2, yet a friend of mine has done just that with his spare XBox, and is getting ready to mount it in his car. teh onyl prolem I have with teh XBox is it's size and weight. It isn't teh easiest thing to move around. I have teh backpack that fits all my gear, but it still weighs a good bit.

Since i plan on eventually going crazy and becoming a midnight creeper i play a lot of Time Crisis. teh benefits on my aim are priceless. As far as systems. Each has it's own thing. Xbox, halo and ninja gaiden. i still think halo 2 is a big joke that will never come out...like Ico 2. Cube great multiplayer stuff. PS2 well violence rules...along with about 700 other games. Believe me i've had to find every game for every system....hence teh creeping as alluded to earlier.

I don't think you would be able to hang that with teh PS2, yet a friend of mine has done just that with his spare XBox, and is getting ready to mount it in his car. Not to sound all defensive or anything (especially since I'm pretty damned close to getting an Xbox myself, they've almost marked it down enough for me. I might elaborate on this later,) but there seems to be a lot you're missing about teh PS2. Loooong before teh hard drive was "officially" out, there was teh network developer kit. It came with teh hard drive, a keyboard and mouse, AND Linux. Oh, and updating your base software doesn't inhibit your ability to run Linux (Microsoft doesn't like it when you run Linux on your Xbox. They try to stop it at every chance they get.) As for teh hub thing, I guess you missed teh USB ports that have been on teh front of teh PS2 from teh beginning. And yet, I can go on. GPS is good if you're military, or often out in teh woods in areas you aren't familiar with. Call me paranoid, but I don't find that a constant source of telling someone else EXACTLY where you are (within eight inches, of course) is very comforting if you aren't too sure yourself. A good old fashioned Rand McNally road atlas is much more reassuring, reliable, and secure. MP3 player? No problem. You have a manufacturer-sanctioned copy of Linux, after all. Touch screen software is also no problem, if you feel like paying for teh hardware. I've priced touch screens, and they aren't worth it to teh average consumer. Trust me, I want one real bad. But even CRT models are outside my income. LCD versions are outta teh question. But this seems to be a little off topic. Right now, I'm not really playing any games (Fatal Frame II was my most recent.) I'm waiting for Silent Hill 4, and constantly watching teh trailers. But this makes me look like a "survival horror" fan, when it is my least favourite genre after "sports." So I should also mention that I am eagerly awaiting Syphon mods fun machine of hysterics and randomness 4 and Gran Turismo 4 (that's right, knight, keep 'em wondering...) Of course, I still find it odd that all teh games I'm looking forward to this year are teh "4ths" in their different series. Eh, so it goes.
