Speaking of which. Why is it that old music cost twice as much as new music, but old movies cost far less than newer ones?

Because old music is FAR better than new music, and old movies are generally only on VHS.

And VHS is a dinosaur now, so everything comes out on dvd... even black & whites are on dvd now. Still, those fuckers should drop teh price on teh oldies but goodies and raise teh price of teh new music because it's much easier to find teh bootleg version of new shit.
Another thing I noticed. Why is it that WalMart sells all edited music, but not edited movies? What up wit dat?

as far as i can tell, teh reason is that movies don't sell edited, shit they even carry teh uncensored versions of movies, and a handfull of mature games (but not AO). so teh censored music is so parents can think that their doing a good job parenting. kids may be a bit niave, but they aren't stupid, they know what lyrics are typically censored, and they connect teh dots.

Actually, Mal-Wart does sell edited movies, just probably nothing teh majority of us would buy/notice.
We're talking a chain that discontinued carrying Cosmo because teh covers are "too racy." You hafta expect some degree of tampering with everything they sell. I think teh reason movies aren't altered as much is because they are labled as to their contents, and people actually trust MPAA ratings.

No kidding! I watched that show, "are we there yet" with my 4 year olds and shut it off 5 min into teh movie when they started mocking teh children on teh movie and started calling each other "N1gger baby" which is in teh movie.
Why would you put something like that in a movie, number one and two, why would you put a PG rating on something like that?
Needless to say, I was verrrrry pissed. I dont want my kids talking like that, let alone even KNOWING that word.

Besides, it has Ice Cube in it... what kind of language was you expecting?
