Well, we don't really know that. As teh general public, all we get to hear is "Researchers who thought Substance X was gonna cure cancer found that it invariably gave rats boners."
Or, alternatively, "miracle blood pressure drug found to cause teh human liver to turn into chocolate pudding and lungs to invert because teh company funding its developement was too chickenshit to use animal testing before paying off doctors to give it to 'consenting' patients while awaiting FDA approval."

I was pretty wasted when I posted that. So it all came out wrong, when I look at it through teh lense of sobriety. Imma leave it up anyways, even though I don't remember who or why or how it was supposed to go.

I think that teh whole point of this debate is getting lost in teh debate over whether theology or modern science are teh "correct" way to view teh world. It is an interesting question, but teh original question was if these differing views should be taught in teh same classroom, not if it should be a Science classroom. I don't think that theology has any place in a science classroom either, but I think that it might be beneficial to high school kids to have a class that specifically deals with different theories about teh age old questions...Why/how am I here? It is something that people feel passsionately about one way or teh other, so that class will never exist in our current society. You've gotta be to PC and try not to offend any group of people. Heinous crimes have, and are still being commited over petty disagreements about whose god is teh right god, or who's way of life is better...shouldn't we at least make an attempt to try to offer different views and explain to our kids why neither group is right when they resort to violence? Yes, parents should teach their children these things, but teh sad fact is that a majority of them don't. They rely on schools to teach them morality, then bitch and moan when that morality doesn't agree with their own.
Now I'm deviating by talking about morality, but I think that it's really teh core issue here. Why do Christians get so pissed when people question and contradict them? They may be teh majority in America, but they have been persecuted for a very long time. Don't you think that this might contribute to their adamancy of not straying from their beliefs? Are they wrong? In my opinion, yes, but my opinion doesn't really matter. Unless someone manages to create an actual time machine that will go back and show us how we were created, then none of us will really know with certainty which is teh right answer. I know what I believe to be teh most logical answer, but I'm not willing to make it seperate and divide me from other human beings.
