Look at me double posting. What a surprise.
OK, so I tried to get him to come in here and post himself, but he didn't. teh punk. Anyhoo, here is what he said about Saw and teh Grudge:
"If you just want jump out scary kind of stuff, see teh Grudge. People were screaming in teh theatre, and my girlfriend didn't even watch it, she just closed her eyes. teh antagonist is invulnerable, so that adds that level of fright.
If you want psychological kind of stuff, in teh vein of se7en, see Saw (heh, seesaw). This one has a slower pace, but could in theory be more freaky for its delving into psychological terror. teh antagonist is set in reality, so that adds a level of "this could actually happen."
I wouldn't say either film is great. They're good, Saw probably more memorable than teh Grudge. teh Grudge is similar to teh Ring, in that it's an adaptation of a Japanese horror film. It also shares an antagonist similar to that of Samara.
In comparison to se7en, though, Saw is shallow. Who could ever imagine to make a film similar to something David Fincher crafted and even come close, though? I wouldn't want that task.
In teh end, teh Grudge will probably scare you more in teh moment, but it's storyline is non-existant, while Saw crafts a good yarn, but it's terror is muted by teh pschye. It all depends on how you like your horror. I wuv's me some scary movies, though, so I had to see them.
So, blue pill or red."
So there ya have it.

yeah, i saw saw.
i had said a couple of times that it would have been really good, if it had a different director. people were all like OMGWTF when i said that, cause i'm a geek.
but really, there were little things in that movie that just threw it off balance. music, for one.
another thing, we saw it on opening night, and teh theatre was full of hee-hawing assholes that would yell whenever they thought it would startle people.
and, during one part when ol' westley started crying, almost everyone there started laughing at him. poor guy.

Ok, so has anyone heard anything about teh movie "Birth"? www.newline.com/It has Nichole Kidman. Ita about a woman whos husband dies and is reincarnated in a 10 year old boy. (WTF?!!) He convinces her its true and she wants to rekindle her wuv for him. I hear it was boo-ed in teh theaters for teh scenes where she kisses teh boy and they take a bath together. Now, this is just hearsay and I havent seen it yet and more than likely wont either.

why does teh thought of that movie make me think of pedophilia... oh yea, because it sounds like a pedophile had a wet dream, and wrote down said dream, and sold it to holywood. and because they can't think of their own original idea they bought teh crap, and made it a movie... [/rant]
sorry i was just mildly repulsed by teh idea of it

Douglas Adams is dead, and teh movie should never have been given teh go-ahead without his hand guiding teh screenplay every step of teh way.
Also, Mos Def.

They barely started things. I think that teh actual contract may have been signed, and I know there was an early draft of a screenplay. But there was no director, no casting, not much of anything, really. They should have just admitted defeat.
