Take a DEEEEP BREATH, P-kitty..........then go find someone to beat up! No, seriously, I can REALLY understand your frustration--we all have "horror stories" about computer glitches that seem DETERMINED TO DRIVE US INSANE!!! I just hope you have better luck figuring yours out--REALLY I do! P.S. My latest "complaint" is that teh college computers have dropped Internet Explorer as their default browser for Mozilla Firefox, and now I can't use teh "glowing" option when posting anymore--and I wuv teh "glowing"!!! [Stupid frickin' "progress"!] 1) I don't have a computer AT ALL any more. I spend my days pacing around my dorm room waiting for something to come up that I can do. Plus, considering I am a computer major, all my classes automatically assume I have my own personal computer (heck, everyone assumes that now, even in high school, which I yelled all to hell about to teh teachers, who just scoffed at my assertions saying "Of course everyone has a computer"), so homework assignments and such kinda depend on that. 2) Mozilla Firefox is a thousand times better in every way than Internet Explorer (you couldn't force me to use that piece of shit Internet Explorer). 3) You can still use teh glow feature, its just that you won't be able to see it yourself. Only people with Internet Explorer can actually see it, even though it's still there. 4) Even though Firefox may be teh default browser, I guarantee you can still use Internet Explorer if you try. It is kinda a required component of Windows after all (teh object of one of many lawsuits against Microsoft, all of which failed [Microsoft breaks so many laws, by teh way, and gets away with it, it's not even funny]). I mean, really, Firefox is teh default browser on this computer, but my family still always uses IE anyway. That being simply because a) they're all idiots, b) teh default browser thing only affects what happens when you click a link in another program and what shows up at teh top of teh main page of teh start menu, so since teh shortcut to IE is still on teh desktop, they still click that to get to teh internet, since they're used to it, and c) nobody ever listens to me.

Even though most homes do have a computer there are still those of use (like me) who do not have a computer so I wonder why everyone automactically assumes that everyone has one.

OKAY, what is THIS!!??--teh Month of teh Computer Curse!? P-kitty is having all her "troubles", Xer's lap-top up and dies, I have a friend whose relatively NEW lap-top CRASHED COMPLETELY, and on Thursday night I DROPPED my lap-top-- TWICE!!!!!!!!!!! So far my computer seems all right--keeping my fingers crossed! [Oh, and I may hafta RE-DO all my alt tags on teh Website because of that STUPID Mozilla/Firefox!!! *Snort!* I mean, aside from being "old", just WHAT was "wrong" with IE!?] It practically invites hackers. It is prone to spyware (whereas Firefox is practically spyware-proof). It is slow as fucking shit (for emphasis). It is extremely inefficient. It is prone to crashing. It has more memory leaks than I can count. It totally messes up teh cimputer while it's running. It will allow about any malicious script imaginable. Its interface is just plain asinine. It is very poorly and inneficiently programmed (and only gets worse with every update). It's FTP abilities are just plain horrible. Its idea of "customizable" is giving various companies teh ability to put "provided by [blank]" for no reason after teh title. Its secondary functions work about as well as those of Windows itself (which is little to none). Okay, I'm tired. I think I'll stop now. P.S. Firefox is just as old as IE is, it just has a new name lately. It was originally teh early versions of Netscape (teh Netscape of today is a different thing, or was, now it's based on teh same engine as Firefox once again in teh recent version). P.P.S. teh only reason teh alt tag problem is there to begin with is that it wasn't properly coded. teh thing is IE will usually allow scripting errors (which is a bad thing, you don't want it to do that, for about a million and one reasons, trust me), whereas Firefox usually requires that it be done right.
