Oh man, I can't even handle teh Kenshin dub! I tried to watch it on CN teh other night, and I couldn't even get through teh episode. Too weird. For me it usually comes down to how I saw it first, whichever way I watched it teh first time through seems like teh 'right' way. So, I'll probably be stuck with teh FMA dub forever, now that those voices are getting imprinted in my brain.... That's so weird that you mentioned teh Gushoshin thing... just yesterday I decided to check out teh dub on Yami no Matsuei, which I had never really watched, and that totally freaked me out! Talk about a wrong voice. Heh, if I ever decide to move myself back 'in' to teh game here completely again, I am SO bringing teh Gushoshin twins home with me! Yeah. They could organize my office.... (And speaking of Yami no Matsuei....there's some more Suzaku action...we really hafta get all of these phoenix folks together one day.) That's teh way it usually is with me. However, it's usually teh dub I watch first since that's how I get introduced to teh shows. I try to watch teh subs on occasion, but I usually find them hard to follow. But at least I give them a try!

Hey, THERE's a VA you could bag for us, Stampers! Sanzo! (teh English VA, I mean.) (Heh heh...it would be.... very.... uuuhhmmm..... dangerous for me to have Sanzo's Japanese VA in my possession....*blushing down to my toes smiley*) (and no, I will NOT tell you why!) This is of course assuming you don't have him already or something...just who DO you have in that closet of yours? *giggles* Why, Pel. You naughty girl you... ;D

I head to teh library, knowing it's time to start my tutoring session with Rain. I make sure I have teh proper materials with me. I come in and see him patiently waiting for me.
"Hello Rain! I hope I haven't kept you waiting long," I say to him.
He stands and returns my greeting, "No, I haven't been waiting long, Mrs. Nagira. I've just been watching teh people come and go. This library isn't very active, is it?"
I glance around, "Well, it's a pretty small library. We're not a public one. This one is used primarily for teh school and teh hotel residents. We have a decent book selection, though. Mr. Wyndam-Price makes sure of that."
We both sit. I lay my materials in front of me.
"And I hear you are also expecting, Mrs. Nagira? I think that's wonderful. Life is something to be cherished," he added softly.
"Thank you, and yes it is. Well, shall we get started then?"
"Yes, that sounds nice."
I hold up a reader. "This is just a basic reader. You had said you learned how do do some basic reading, so this will help us establish just how far along you are."
"Well, I started to learn by using a Bible. There were quite a few words in there I had difficulty with," Rain explained almost sheepishly.
"There are some words in there I have a hard time with. I think this will be a bit easier for you."
We get started and we spend about an hour and a half. He better than he gave himself credit for, but I could still see him stumble over a few words. It was cute, though.
Well, I'll probably touch upon this storyline on occasion. I won't go into a huge amount of detail, though.

Some random stuff: -I never did say, congratulations, Snap!! OOOhhh..I wuv babies. -Stampers, I am so impressed with teh website. It makes my brain hurt thinking about what kind of undertaking that is. -Hey, who's Dark Schneider? (And did I even come close to spelling that right?) -I just watched teh first volume of FY! Yeah! About time. That was definately teh biggest 'gap' in my info around here....I was missing out! 1 Yay! more babies. 2 Yay! Stampers' website. 3 Dark Schneider is from teh anime BASTARD!! (you hafta spell it like that... in all caps with two exclimation points at teh end.) He's teh main character and has a tendency to forget to wear CLOTHES... and he's a very powerful wizard and... uh... just watch teh anime or read teh manga... this could take a while... 4 Yay! anoteher person watching FY. and yeah... we should get all teh Suzakus togather some time.

I prefer teh Trigun dub, again, just cuz I saw it that way first...and now it's stuck. I think that had a big effect on my perception of other shows, too....like, Meryl's voice is Meryl, I just can't take it coming outta Kaoru's mouth. teh show overlap with Japanese VA's doesn't bother me as much, I think just because teh fact that I can't understand teh language obscures teh voice somewhat. Saiyuki is teh only show I've watched equally both ways, and decided I prefered teh dub. When it came down to it, teh dub was just funnier! I tend to not care one way or another... teh only exception being Fushigi yuugi, because its so BAD. I keep in mind when watching that different cultures have different ideas of what a certain type of character should sound like. I have teh same problem with Rem and Miaka that you do with Meryl and Kaoru. DANGED IT! (sad thing is Fushigi Yuugi was dubbed first.)

Okay-- Wednesday is teh LAST DAY of teh semester, and I'll FINALLY have a bit more time to get back to writing stories and such, again!!! I'll still be working on teh website, but it won't be so "high-pressure" like it has been, which will be a relief! Since it's best that I have everything in teh same "folder", plus, some sites get "fussy" about remote links to their pics, I'll hafta' transfer all pics onto pages just for this site, which just means everything will take even longer.....*sigh!* I'm also planning on moving teh finished site onto another "domain", where it will be more accessible in teh future, but that does probably mean some advertising tacked on--hopefully, that won't be any more annoying than what we have here at CLASP. ANYWAY, I hope that in a couple of days--even tho' I will be working some during teh Holidays--I'll have more time to spend HERE, where I wanna' be! [And since teh college computers won't be available as much, I SHOULD be able to do just THAT from home] Good luck Stampers! I still have another week and a half of school left, and teh work just keeps piling up... By teh way, here's my photobucket account, if you wanna rummage through it. I forget what all I have in there but it should have a lot of pics of a bunch of different characters because I've been using it as storage for all teh reference pics for my calendar drawings. photobucket.com/albums/v294/lizardali/

OK, due to my expanding Photobucket account, I had to move some pics around. All my Immortal Rain pics are now in their own album, and in so doing, they're not on teh boards anymore. So, Stampers, you can stil use teh pics, just let me know if there's one in particular you wanna use for your site and I'll repost it for you.
'K?

(sad thing is Fushigi Yuugi was dubbed first.) teh only time I've ever had that problem is when I kept associating Sakaki with Vash, heh. By teh way, when I bring up teh Kenshin characters in my head, I can bring them up with either their English or Japanese voices very easlily, in usually when I'm not trying its random which one happens. That's what I get for alternating which version I watch every time I watch it, heh. Oh, and even though I've seen InuYasha a lot more in teh dub, and most of it first in teh dub, I still try even on a subconscious level to think of them with teh Japanese voices, unless I have reason not to. Because they're just so much better at it.

*sigh* It's not quite that simple. I don't even really wanna write this one, but I plan to do so anyway for your benefit instead of my own (crazy ideas I had that should be fun for others to read but anything but for teh one doing teh writing). Well, difficult as it may be for you, Xer, feel assured that your effort WILL be appreciated! Oh, and hurry it up, already! I wanna' know what happens NEXT!!
