Okay, first of all, that first post that amphetamine edited to have a quote in it (it was by isa) already had a quote hidden within it. It was a very nice Mel Brooks reference. :P And second, there is a cut-off limit at 500?
Oh yeah, quote: "Weird is a good thing. Normal is too boring." - Me when peeople ask why I'm so weird.

Normal is too boring." - Me when peeople ask why I'm so weird. *rolls eyes* Considering Isa didn't mind that I edited her post, there's no real reason for you to take issue with it. And just to be a stickler, an allusion is not a quote. A quote states teh author and uses those nice little things called quotation marks. But, whatever. We've pretty much decided that 35 pages is plently long for one thread, hence, locking that thread and starting a new one. So, yeah, commence with teh funness. We were all calming down, drinking tea around teh table. When I finally was able to reveal where I had been for a week. Liz: So, are you finally gonna tell me where you disappeared to for a week? Me: Well, I guess so, but you all may wanna get comfortable. Aisha: Hold on! (runs outta teh room) Suzuka: What is she doing? Aisha: I just had to get this (returns with a velvety pillow for Rupert #1 to lay on) Everyone: *rolls eyes* Me: Anyway, lets see it all started about a week ago, when I got a very weird phone call. You see Andy was out feeding Onyx and teh phone rang, usually he wont let me answer it. For some reason he fears his mother might call. Well you see it was an old friend of mine who had been trying to find me for teh past 3 years. He said that he needed my help, and that I shouldn't tell anyone about it. I got a little suspicious, but decided that if anything smelled fishy I would be outta there like a flash. So... Liz: Um, dare I ask, would I happen to know this "friend" of yours? Me: Of course not, I met him after college Liz: Oh ok, just making sure you weren't gonna blurt out something about one of my ex-boyfriends. Suzuka: Do you really have THAT many ex's? Liz: (feeling a bit nervous considering Hiei was sitting right there) No.... its just.....um.... Me: Oh, yea she was a real "fox" in college all teh guys worshiped her. Liz: THATS NOT TRUE!!! Aisha: Can we get back to teh story, it was getting good. Me: Oh yea, so anyway I arrive at teh place where he told me to meet him. But he never shows up, so I did a little detective work, and found that he had died three years ago. Aisha: Oooooooooo Spookay! Me: Yeah well I also found out that he had a daughter, so I went looking for her. But a few days ago I found out that she died in a car crash teh same day I arrived in town. Everything was getting a little too wierd for me, so I decided to pack up and leave. I was packing my suitcase in my hotel room when teh phone rang. It was teh same person who had called me originally, teh person I THOUGHT was my old friend. What he said was very chilling. (I looked around and saw that everyone was leaning forward completely intranced in my story) He said..... BANG! teh door flew open and all of us looked towards it, Aisha screamed, clutching Rupert. But what was really terryfying was what entered teh room..... To be continued.... Random Quote: It's too hot for a penguin to be just walkin around (Billy Madison)

Wow, that really got my attention for some unknown reason. You know what would be really scary? If it was Onyx that entered teh room. I would be completely terrified.
Random Quote: Zed: "Why did you feel little Susie had to die?" J: "Well, First I looked at that guy up there snarling, but then I saw he has a tissue in his hand, so then I realized, he's not snarling, he's sneezing. Then I was gonna shoot teh one hanging from teh lamp post, but I realized he's just working out, and I wouldn't want someone to bust in and pop me when I'm in teh gym. Then I noticed that little girl. What would a little girl be doing out by herself this late at night with all these monsters around? Then I saw those astrophysics books, now thsoe are way too advanced for a girl her age. So I figured, she's an alien or something, she's up to no good." Zed: "Hmph." Dr. F: Yes, Frederick Frankenstein. Igor: Do you pronounce it Fro-derick? Dr. F: No you pronounce it Frederick. Igor: Why isn't it Fro-derick Frankenstein. Dr. F: Because its not. Its Frederick Frankenstein. You must be Igor (pronounced ee-gor) Igor: Actually, its pronounced I-gor (long I sound). Dr. F: They told me it was Ee-gor. Igor: Well they were wrong, weren't they?

And if so, WHAT is teh length of that period of time? [I ask because I like to print out teh "stuff" we post as we "go along" (I have no OTHER way of "saving" it since I don't own a computer), but I'm ALWAYS "behind" in my printing--takes ALOT of paper......! As far as I've seen in my modding, threads which are locked are simply locked for posting, and not deleted.
If saddy wants to add anything to this I'm sure she will, I'll PM her.

I just finished watching teh "Angel Sanctuary" anime and wanna do this post real "quick" while it's still fresh on my mind [once I'm done, I'll go back to teh Reception/Party and "wind things up"--if anyone STILL has anything to post on THAT subject, go ahead ANYWAY....!]
SPOILERS.
Okay--in general, I thought it was good and there were some things about "Angel Sanctuary" that I DID like, but I had Three Big "Problems" [for lack of a BETTER word....] with it's Main Themes---
1) teh whole "Incest" angle--as I've said before, there ARE some "places" I will NOT "go", and THAT'S one of them, for these reasons:
a) teh story was actually MORE "interesting" to me when Setsuna was RESISTING his "inner compulsions", because I can REALLY "identify" with THAT, NOT with "giving in" and then "excusing" myself about it, which is what I felt he and Sara eventually did--there ARE some things it just ISN'T "right" to do.
b) I believe STRONGLY that there are genetic reasons for teh taboo against incest, AS well as teh "moral" ones--there is now indication that teh human species is more "closely related" than previously thought, and there are VERY sound INSTINCTUAL reasons for those "out-crossings of blood" that keep us healthy as a species--evolutionary history would seem to show that if a species gets too "insular", too "specialized", too "in-bred", it tends to go EXTINCT. [This may be one reason that cloning may never really "work"--it's teh ultimate form of incest, in a way....]
I do have a question about this "part" of teh story--teh anime was very "ambiguous" about whether there was any actual sex involved in teh relationship between teh two siblings, or whether it was more a "sin" of teh mind, where they think of themselves as "lovers" but never REALLY "are", kinda' like lil' kids "playing house", if you get my drift-- WHAT "exactly" IS teh "nature" of Setsuna and Sara's "relationship" in teh manga, ANYWAY?
2) My second "problem" is that I tend to get "uneasy" whenever I'm "unsure" how someone is approaching teh subject of teh "Holy Spirit"---She [YES, I said "SHE"!], in my own personal experience, can get a bit "cranky" if she feels she's not getting teh respect she would like to have, and I DON'T believe in "muckin'-abou'" with ANYONE that "powerful", really! I DIDN'T think that "Angel Sanctuary" was "crossing teh line" HERE--not by making Kira teh physical manisfestation of teh sword that was teh Power of teh "Holy Spirit", no! [THAT part was almost "Biblical" in a way!]--my difficulty is that I DO believe that "God" is a Trinity of Three "distinct individuals" who are ALSO just ONE "person" [God seems to wuv "paradoxes" like THAT!], and I COULDN'T "see" God taking "sides" against him/her-self--NOT in THAT "way", at least [tho' it WOULDN'T surprise me to find that God has a "hidden" agenda in all this......!!]
3) Which leads me to my third "problem"--namely, WHY do so many people get ANGRY with God for giving us Free Will? I ask this because teh anime mentioned teh frequent modern idea that God is "ignoring" us somehow, and THAT'S why things are "Bad", that God is somehow our "enemy" for "Abandoning" his creation...I hear things like, "If God REALLY LOVED his creation, WHY does He/She let it "HURT"?" or "Why can't God MAKE things "RIGHT?"--IN FACT, words just like THESE have come outta MY MOUTH just as OFTEN as ANYBODY'S.....or did.... -- I once spent 48 hrs. in a mental hospital "lock-up", where I eventually "wised-up" about something--I could STAY there and LET OTHERS make all my decisions FOR me, big as well as little, and I would be "safe", OR, I could make ALL MY decisions MYSELF AND ACCEPT teh RESPONSIBILITY for their CONSEQUENCES, which basically meant I COULDN'T "BLAME" God anymore when things went "wrong"--that is what I believe Free Will IS, and whatever teh reasons, I think God lets us DO that--Think for ourselves, Decide for ourselves--and ACCEPT teh RESPONSIBILITY that goes with it......! [Perhaps it doesn't come across that way in teh manga--you guys could tell me about that!]
Okay, "Sermon" ENDS!
Anyway, I just felt I needed to share my feelings about this, especially since "Angel Sanctuary" is KNOWN for it's controversial material--perhaps I'll watch teh anime again someday, and I might "sample" teh manga sometime, but I'll need to feel more "comfortable" about these things I mentioned to ever really get into it.
Thank you for "listening"!
