Okay, because we've been getting a bit involved with teh discussion about these books I'm making a whole topic for them so we can discuss teh finer points of teh books that may confuse you or just to ramble on about teh wacky stuff Terry Goodkind came up with when he wrote teh serise. So you know I've read all of teh series at least twice, minus Chainfire (teh newest one) which came out last month... I'm only halfway through it as of now. Discuss away... or ask me any questions you may have if you have read my "teasers" in teh RP about teh characters or if you read one of teh books and just got confused. Also there is a website to go to about teh books if you don't wanna listen to me ramble on about them... www.Terrygoodkind.com

I've heard of teh author, but I don't know teh series, what are they about? Okay... I knew this was comming... so its now time for.... Sword of Truth... in a nuttshell... teh main character Richard meets up with a woman in teh woods while looking for clues about his father's murder. Turns out teh woman is looking for some wizard who dissapeared many years earlier. Richard and teh woman and a crazy wizard named Zedd go to teh "midlands" to help teh woman (Kahlan). They run into a bunch of problems. And hafta find and keep these boxes and a book away from teh main bad guy, Darken Rahl. Turns out teh only copy of teh book... is in Richard's head. Thats just teh first book. teh rest of teh books are equally complicated and deal with more wizards and wars and new bad guys. There are Nine books so far... they are... Wizard's First rule (best of teh series IMHO) Stone of Tears (by far teh longest of teh series) Blood of teh fold (shortest book of teh series) Temple of teh winds Soul of teh Fire Faith of teh Fallen Pillars of Creation Naked Empire Chainfire (newest one) There's also a short story that takes place before WFR called "Debt of bones" Its a good intro to Zedd's character. But really I suggest you read at least Wizard's first rule before you read it or any of teh other books.

Okay... Just finished Chainfire and I am now cursign at TErry to release teh next one... but I know I hafta wait a YEAR to understand what in teh world is going on in that crazy head of his...
teh book acomplished about one thing that I understand... confusing teh heck outta me and re-introducing teh main characters, minus one.
It probably did more than that... but it hasn't sunk in yet.
It also gave us teh ninth wizard rule! "Contradictions can't exhist."
Actually for being a confusing ass book it is now my second favorite outta teh entire serise.

Drefen!
An interesting character that I want nothing more than to bring him back from teh dead so we can kill him violently again!
Actually he's not that bad... at first.
And even though you THINK you haven't met him in teh book yet, P-kitty, you have. ;D

Well, since I'm here, I might as well talk about my favorite character, Zedd! From teh disappearing manhood trick to unlocking that collar behind Ann's back, this wizard has more tricks up his sleeve that a whole barnyard of stage magicians! And just because he old, it don't mean he's dead yet! How can you beat "You wanna stand on my rock?" for a come-on line? And never, ever think you got him beat or under your control! Zedd's da MAN!

Oh... you forgot teh follow up line to his pickup line... "Naked?" Oh we SO wuv Zedd. To teh point I made a Build-a-bear and named it after him. And Nathan is ALMOST as bad/good/whatever.

Can't forget teh naked part! BTW, isn't Adie still in teh Old World? Last time I heard, Khalen(sp) went with Richard through teh slyph, and Zedd left with Ann to go after Nathan! What happned to Adie?

Adie is at teh Confessor's palace I think. Um, I don't think so, unless she's invisible! Otherwise she would have shown up by now! BTW, I'm at teh part where Richard "punishes" Cara by making her to feed chipmunks.

Two of my favorite lines from teh books are in that one... First one is teh first quote in teh book from Cara. "Can I kill him?" and then there's teh "Mord Sith GIGLING?!" Richard has to be creative with his punishments for teh Mord-sith because... well... They'rem Mord-sith. Actually, I don't think we see much of Adie after teh second book... if we see her again at all.

Remember I'm much further in teh story than you are and from about book four on he doesn't use teh Mud people... and he didn't use Chase since book one until book eight... and I think he's brining in all teh MAIN characters and "forgotten" ones as well, starting with nine for teh "final battle".

Oh, okay then. I'm trying not to read teh book too quickly, don't wanna burn out on them! Good luck... book five sucks but has some HELARIOUS quotes in it... six through eight were hard for me to get through and nine is almost as good as teh first book. One, four, and nine are my favourite books in teh series. Even with as depressing as Four is... fair warning.
