Anyone else sick of hearing about them? Am I teh only one who thinks they're all jumping teh gun a bit by already announcing new consoles? And then fans immediately start discussing all teh neat new alledged features of these consoles, half of which probably won't even exist in any consoles or anything at all for another decade at least. Things like teh DS and PSP have just come out, and already people are getting themselves pumped over consoles that won't be out for years. And they'll probably be big letdowns when they come out as well. That said, I'm looking foward to teh Nintendo Revolution and teh first Zelda game they put on it. How about you people?

teh only reason i'm really annoyed by it is teh fact that teh current consoles aren't even being used to their full extent yet...
one more zelda game on gamecube, YAY!

See, I totally friggin agree. I mean, I was really looking foward to teh DS, but it had such a disappointing list of games out for it when it came out. Still does really. Same goes for teh PSP. I'm sure teh next consoles will be all neat and crap, and have a bunch of neat new things or whatever, but I'd prefer teh Powers That Be spend a little more time on putting out some good games for teh consoles I already blew money on.

I've been waiting for teh PS3 forever, but have only really wanted it for about a year now. My PS2 is on its last leg, and I just don't see buying a new one with teh PS3 right around teh corner. Which they keep saying. And if they don't act soon, Imma start to get pissed.

I say I really hafta agree. Though, these days, if you don't use your innovations right away to market a product, it's likely that your competitor will make teh same innovation and use it before you and then you're just SOL. So while it's annoying that teh Xbox has only been around for like three years or something (that's what it feels like, anyway) and teh gamecube around teh same, I'm not surprised that they're announcing a newer shinier version already.
besides, teh hardware companies make more money from consoles than games, I'd believe, considering they don't usually own teh companies that develop teh games. If they did, I bet you they'd milk everything they could outta an older console.

See, you're talking about handhelds. teh buzz is all about teh consoles, which believe it or not are being released 5 years after their predecessors. Try having that kind of shelf life with PC systems, without buying a top of teh line system for $700 plus every 5 years. Besides, having seen some of teh things coming out on teh next gen systems, a few of teh games are already surpassing anythign teh current gen would be able to do if pushed beyond its uppper limit. teh reason some of us discuss these new consoles is to talk about exactly what you addressed. What parts of teh specs are realistic, which ones are estimations? Are teh particular hardware choices gonna be beneficial to teh console, or will it hurt it in teh long run? Blah, blah blah. We talk about it in teh same way other people talk about anime, or football, or any other hobby. Gaming is a big hobby of mine, and I try to know as much about it as I possibly can, and through discussion, I learn new things. That is why.

I personally consider teh handhelds to be teh same as consoles. They're expensive, they have alot of games, they can do alot of things. Only difference is I can break out my DS in class and battle Pokemon while my teacher blathers on about teh nervous system, but I can't break out my PS2 in teh same situation. This is why I personally believe teh gaming companies are moving just a smidge too fast in this respect.
I also get annoyed when these companies announce things they have no intention of actually releasing for a long, long, long time. I mean, I guess it's nice to know that something is coming sometime in teh future, but they leak tidbits to teh gaming press like crazy, practically everything but teh realease date. It gets people excited for an earlier release, which of course doesn't happen. It makes them envision things that teh system would never have. Even when they finally reveal teh release date they push it back another half a year when it comes close to teh date (mostly teh fault of game carriers but are Nintendo et al doing anything to stop them?) . By that time I'm just annoyed and really just don't care about teh system anymore. I dunno, maybe that only happens to a few of us.
I also don't see much of a problem with discussing would-be features of teh new consoles, but people take it too far. You as a gaming hobbiest can have meaningful discussions about teh features, because you can probably look through teh BS rumors. But many people discussing them are not hobbiests, and they eat teh silly rumors up as if they had teh munchies. They then mix teh rumors up, some add their own little silly ponderances, and teh internet spreads these falsehoods around like wildfire, until it's hard to even tell what's really gonna be on teh systems anymore. And when teh gaming companies release more official previews of teh future systems that contradict these falsehoods, it becomes a disappointment.
I dunno, maybe I'm just teh Chicken Little of gaming, but I think these escapades are gonna depress teh gaming industry sooner or later. Not destroy of course, but it'll be down for some time.

I personally consider teh handhelds to be teh same as consoles. I agree with you on that, I just thought that since you were talking about yet to be released systems, that you were referring to teh consoles.I also get annoyed when these companies announce things they have no intention of actually releasing for a long, long, long time. I mean, I guess it's nice to know that something is coming sometime in teh future, but they leak tidbits to teh gaming press like crazy, practically everything but teh realease date. I agree with you on this one as well. However, microsoft just announced teh details last month (everything else was speculation that I myself paid no attention to), and teh console will be released in November. Six months is a good amount of time to generate buzz and get awareness out about their product. It is a business after all. Meanwhile, Sony has put out their specs and doesn't plan to release for another year. They just put their info out to counter Microsoft. That may also have been a good strategy for them, since teh diehard Sony fans will have something to talk about as well, and Microsoft won't be teh only name being heard by gamers right now.I dunno, maybe I'm just teh Chicken Little of gaming, but I think these escapades are gonna depress teh gaming industry sooner or later. Not destroy of course, but it'll be down for some time. I disagree with you on this one. I think as long as there are core gamers, there will always be teh demand for bigger, better, faster, etc... Letting people know about your product and generating buzz, and even teh rumors that ignorant people spread only create a further demand for teh product. Unless of course all teh rumors are negative. So in short, it's all about teh money, and teh more excitement you can create about your product teh more you will likely sell.

But will they have laser beam eyes, and chainsaw hands? Coz teh 360 zombies will. But they'll totally be too big. I'd be able to drop one from teh second floor of my house and break my cats back! Jeebus.

I think I might hafta breakdown and preorder my Nintendo Revolution. Anything that allows you to play teh orginal time comsumers like Pro Wrestling, along with teh newer games like Zelda: Twilight Princess, is just something that I gotsta get. I also like that they've added some more teen/adult genre games. This is gonna be sweet!

at least if they keep true to their word... currently basicly anything out there about teh revolution is what they wanna do, not necessarly what they will do. this also depends on teh developers who made teh early NES games, and whether or not they actually wanna re-release these games for free/cheap to revolution owners
